Hey all! This is the Arena blog for the 175th Hunger Games! I am very excited to share with you all the arena, as this has been a concept I’ve been working on since December! This arena is called The Harvest, and is inspired by autumn and the (false) sense of comfort this season provides.

P.S. Forgive my bad map making skills, this is my first time making one

The Cornucopia

The cornucopia is one of the safest locations of the arena. Located in the Northeastern part of the arena, it is seated in the middle of a small valley, with trees surrounding it and having in sight both the flower meadow and the largest lake in the arena. The first thing tributes will notice is the soft orange of the sky, as though it were evening light with the illusion of the sun setting. The cornucopia is filled with supplies that will help the tributes survive. The grass is dewy, as though it had just rained, cautioning the tributes to be careful with each step so they don’t fall from their high pedestals.

The Enchanted Forest

The Enchanted Forest is located West of the Cornucopia, being the biggest, and one of the most dangerous parts of the arena. It houses the main river and water source of the arena. This means it is filled with many animals for the tributes to hunt, but be aware, dangers also love to hide in the lovely orange trees. The forest contains various different berries and plants, though many are not safe for consumption. The enchanting beauty of the forest lures in tributes, various plants having properties that can lead to hallucinations, and dizziness when consumed. Squirrels and deer are the primary prey animals that are present in the forest.

Snowcapped Mountains

The Snowcapped Mountains are located in the Northwestern most part of the arena. There is always a light snowfall here, a soft layer of snow covering the mountains and the forest leading up to them. These mountains offer some places to hide, though with their rocky and slippery terrain, it may prove more dangerous to climb up. They harbor many of the predator animals, such as the snow leopards and mountain foxes. The winds here are harsher, causing temperatures to drop to 20 degrees. Because of the dangerous nature of this terrain, many tributes are cautioned against going here. However, if tributes manage to survive in this terrain, there may be chance for finding useful items to help their survival,

The Caves

175th Hunger Games Roleplay || Arena Blog-[c]Hey all! This is the Arena blog for the 175th Hunger Games! I am very excited to

There are 2 major caves in the arena, one southeast of the Cornucopia, the other southwest, hidden in the Enchanted Forest. However, these are the only ones visible on the surface. In the Enchanted forest, there is an opening to an underground in the middle of the river where it splits. The bottom of the cave is roughly 30 feet below, and this entrance seems to be the only one. If tributes wish to explore these caves, they must jump into the water below, though it seems impossible, there is a chance they survive the fall with minimal injury. Once inside, the cave is vast and has many tunnels, one of them leading to the edge of the enchanted forest, close to where the snowcapped mountains are.

Each cave has various luminous plants and rocks, making them glow a soft teal color. They are home to many small fish, bats, spiders, and even some small water snakes. These are one of the safer places tributes can hide in the arena, though with few options for food, they will be forced to leave for food, having these be less than ideal places for tributes to stay.

Flower Meadow

The Flower Meadow is located South of the Cornucopia. It is home to a wide variety of flowers, having a beautiful and almost intoxicating smell. Those that travel in these meadows will encounter small rabbits and butterflies. Hiding in these meadows are small mutts that are designed to chase the tributes and give them small shocks. As soon as a tribute sets foot in the meadow, they should be aware, as raccoons also love to roam around and steal supplies.

The Lakes

There are 3 different lakes in the arena, each with crystal clear waters and provide the tributes water to drink. The biggest lake, being Northeast of the Cornucopia, is the deepest, harboring snapping turtles and water snakes.
