blog for the 85th Hunger Games Roleplay!

I’m your host, Queen Kay—but you can just

call me Kay.

This blog is essential for understanding

how I plan to run my RP, and it will lay out

everything you need to know before

we begin.

Please read through the entirety of this

info blog BEFORE claiming a spot. There is

a lot of important information in this blog

about the RP, and I do not want to repeat

anything later if I don’t have to. Even if

you’ve ed one of my RPs before, please

take the time to read through this before

claiming a spot. Some of my rules may

have changed.

Kay’s Roleplay Rules and Expectations

01. This RP will be done in a

semi-lit/literate style

02. Each RP response must be

at least 8 sentences long

03. Each reply needs to be written

in 3rd person POV

04. Make your OC realistic!

Overpowered OCs are not allowed!

05. Swearing is allowed, but

don’t overdo it

06. No mature themes (this includes,

but is not limited to: sex, drugs,

underage drinking, self harm)

07. Do not bring up common triggers

in the RP chat OR the OOC chat

08. No discrimination allowed (racism,

sexism, homophobia, etc.)

09. Ask me before you kill

off a fellow tribute

10. Draw out killing scenes unless I

ask you to make an instant kill

11. You can injure a fellow tribute at

any time, but you can not fatally

wound a fellow tribute unless I gave

you permission first

12. Use a header at the start of each

response that includes your OC’s

name and district

13. Tag the people you’re interacting

with so they see your response

14. Respect everyone in the RP

15. Be as active in the RP as possible

and let me know if you are unable to

be online for longer than a day—also let

me know ASAP if you wish to drop out

of the RP

Additionally, if there is any drama going

on in the chats, please let me know so I

can handle the situation accordingly. I’m

usually on top of those things, but

sometimes I miss when arguments are

going on. I want everyone to have fun in

this RP, and I also want everyone to feel

safe in this RP.

your questions, please ask me your

questions in the comment section of this

post. I will answer any and all questions as

soon as I get the chance.

—Roleplay Events—

In this RP, I plan on hosting in a way that

makes the RP as similar to the books/films

as possible. Some things won’t take place

because it would be boring for the RP, but

the most important events will be included.

The Reaping

This event will last 2 days, and it is a great

time to meet your district partner. I highly

encourage that you send at least one

response for this event, but it is not required

if you are too busy to complete it. If you don’t

plan to participate in the reaping portion of

the RP, I would appreciate some notice in

advance so I don’t begin to think you are

dropping out. For this event, you will write a

response where your OC is either reaped for

the Hunger Games or they volunteer. If you

and your partner finish with the reaping, you

can move on to RP-ing your OCs on the train

ride to the Capitol.

The Reaping will begin on June 26th.

The Tribute Parade

This event will last 2 days. Unlike the other

events, this event doesn’t actually involve

any roleplaying. The Tribute Parade is

actually a contest for the RP participants!

Your job is to design a tribute parade outfit

for your OC that fits their district! You can

work alone OR with a partner to make a

design for your OCs. You can draw the

design, make a moodboard using pictures,

or you can just explain your idea with words

if you want, but it needs to be posted in a

blog! At the end of the event, I’ll choose a

winner (or the top three winners if we get

enough people to the challenge). The

individual or team with the best design will

win 100 amino coins! I will have more

information about this event once the

RP begins.

The Tribute Parade will begin on June 28th.

Training

This event will last 4-5 days depending

on how active everyone is and what

everyone in the group wants. Training is

the perfect time for forming alliances and

making a few enemies before entering the

arena! The more drama between characters,

the more fun the RP will be! This event is

required, and everyone MUST participate in

training. If you don’t participate in training,

your OC will be killed off on the first day in

the arena. Once it comes time for this

event to begin, I will explain what training

stations are available.

Training will begin on June 28th.

Individual Assessments

At some point during training, I will send

out the prompt for the individual

assessment. I’ll explain this event in more

detail once the RP starts, but basically

your OC will show the gamemakers a skill

and then receive a score. The scores will

be posted for everyone to see once all of

the assessments have been sent to me in

a PM. If you don’t submit a response for

the individual assessment before the time

runs out, don’t panic! Your OC will receive

a random low score between 1-3, but it will

not impact your OC in the arena. None of

the scores impact the arena. It is just

another way to make the RP more

like the films/books.

Tribute Interviews

This event will last 1-2 days depending on

what everyone in the RP wants. It is a great

opportunity for other people to get to know

your OC! I will give each of your three

interview questions for your OCs, and you

will write your OC’s response to those

questions in RP format in the RP chat. You

can also put together an interview outfit

and send it to the RP chat along with your

response. Once the interviews are done, I

will pick the top three outfits, and each

winner will receive 50 amino coins!

Tribute Interviews will begin as

soon as training concludes.

The Arena

This event is pretty self explanatory, and

will last however long it takes for us to get

down to one tribute--the victor. It will likely

last 2-3 weeks like in my past RPs, but it

could always be shorter or longer

depending on how active everyone is.

Roleplays are more fun when everyone is

active, so please try to be as active as

possible!

How Kills Work

In the past, I used to make a randomized

list of all the tributes and that would be the

kill order. This time, however, I will be

making the list myself without the use of a

generator, and the list will be made

completely depending on how active

everyone is. The victor of this RP should be

the person who is the most active—but

there will also be a few other factors. You

will have a very good chance of winning if

you are very active in the RP, but if you are

unrealistic with your replies, or if you cause

problems in the RP, you will not win.

Here’s how the kills will work: Each day in

the arena will have 2-3 deaths. Before we

move on to a new day in the arena, I will

send a message like this to the OOC chat…

There are 3 names on the chopping block!

If you would like your OC to kill one of these tributes, please reply in this chat. Everything is first come, first served. The first three people to reply will get a kill. Please also tell me your OC’s name and their district when you request a kill.

Once I’ve gotten replies, I will send out the

names to people in a PM. If you claim a kill,

you will have 24 hours to start the attack. If

you don’t, I will do the kill myself using

mutts. If you start the kill and you don’t get

a response back from the person whose OC

you are killing within 24 hours, I will give you

the go ahead to do an instant kill.

Please to draw out kill scenes

a bit! It doesn’t need to be drawn out

forever, but you shouldn’t be killing

another OC in just two hits.

You as the roleplayer will know what

the arena looks like, but the characters

will not! I provide maps and other pictures

so you guys know where your OC is going

once they are in the arena. Your OC will

have no idea about what to expect

in the arena.

PSA: Dropping Out of the RP

Dropping out of the RP is completely fine. I

know that life can get busy, or inspiration can

disappear, and that’s okay!! This RP is for fun,

and I only want you to continue participating

if you’re enjoying yourself and have time.

That being said, if you my RP, you are

agreeing to letting your OC be used if you

choose to drop out. I will not allow other

people to control your OC, and I certainly

won’t control your OC, but your character

will be used as a filler character for an

instant kill in the arena if you’ve provided

me with the form info and I’ve completed

the form.

What does that mean? If you drop out, I

will tell someone in the RP they can kill off

your OC in the arena. They can only write

the kill. They may not write dialogue for

your character.

If you truly do not want a fellow tribute to

kill your OC, please let me know asap so I

can use a mutt to kill off your OC.
