I’m only Level 9, but hopefully this will increase quickly as my activity level will be improving and I’ve been in this community for 1876 days (since July 11, 2017)

6) Why do you want to be a curator?

I really enjoy the Hunger Games and I want to help keep this community a warm, welcoming and safe place for everyone who loves the series as much as I do. Additionally, I want to continue to see this amino grow and flourish just as it already has and help keep it as an upbeat, enjoyable place for all. I would love to be apart of the team that ensures that happens.

7) What do you think you can bring to the amino?

Since I’ve been a curator in several communities before, I can bring the experience that I’ve gained from that along with suggestions on different things we can do based on what has and hasn’t worked in other places, applying them to the hunger games universe. I also believe that I can bring new ideas and challenges to this community. I also work very well in a team. I believe that collaboration is important and essential in a team in order for a community to function well and to create a positive space for all. I will always work side by side with my fellow team , co-collaborating and looking to them for opinions on matters and for assistance if I am unsure of how to handle a situation or simply need help with whatever it may be.

8) Have you ever been a Curator or Leader before? If yes where?

Yes. I’m currently a Leader in the TVD Amino (formerly a curator there) (which has 47,840 ), a Curator in the Originals Amino (which has 8,365 ) and a Leader in a Roleplay Amino (which has 1,129 ). 9) How often are you online per day and per week on average?

Since getting a job, I try to be active for at least a half hour each day on amino and an average of 200+ minutes per week, however, there are some days where I’ll be on for a longer amount of time and some days where I may be on for less but I will always check in on amino and check the chats at least once a day regardless of how busy I may be. My activity level in this specific community is not great, but I plan on being much more active here as I am in other communities.

10a) If you saw 2 groups of arguing against each other, how would you handle it?

I would first message each member individually and figure out exactly what the issue was from each of them along with asking for screenshots for proof of what was occurring. I would tell each of them to stop engaging in an argument with the other and to let the mod team handle it from here. I would of course let the mod team know what was happening and message the mod chat concerning the issue as it happens. The action that is taken from there will depend on what exactly was said and the severity of their argument. Additionally, what is decided to happen will depend on what part of the guidelines was broken. If a leader needs to ister the action (such as a warning, strike or ban) then i will ask them to/ask for their opinion on it. Once the issue has been handled, I will remind both parties to follow the guidelines in the future and let us know immediately if they’re having problems with someone as we should be able to handle the problem without it getting too out of hand.

10b) They haven’t stopped after warnings and friends from both sides have now ed in with the argument. What do you do?

If they haven’t stopped and additional people have ed in, further action will likely have to be taken. Of course, this will be brought to the attention of a leader and the mod team and it will be decided there what action to take (whether a warning, strike or ban (if this has happened multiple times) will need to be done). The friends will be messaged asking them to stop engaging in the fight and if this is being done in a public chatroom, the chat will receive a warning. If they continue to discuss the issue in the chat, then it will likely have to be deleted. Lastly, they will all be reminded to take a look at the guidelines and to follow them in the future so that something like this does not occur again. Any issues that happen, should be brought to the attention of a mod member so that it does not escalate and so that the issue can be handled quickly and efficiently.

11) What are some of your strengths? What are some of your weaknesses?

I believe that I would be a good addition to the mod team because I truly love and care about this community and it’s success. I want everyone in it to feel welcomed and appreciated whether that be commenting on a well-deserved post, featuring someone’s post or simply giving them a friendly welcome/ greeting to this community. Additionally, I am unbiased and no matter how I may know you I will treat everyone the same and fairly in any and all circumstances. It is important to judge someone honestly and keep a clear head when making decisions about different issues as well as showing respect to everyone. Lastly, I’ll bring only my utmost positive thoughts, energy and time to the mod team and to this community. A weakness that I possess is that I tend to overthink a lot. When I see a problem, I like to have it solved as soon as possible in the best way possible. My overthinking tends to lead me to asking a fellow mod member if the action I’m about to take is alright/correct. Additionally, I tend to be a perfectionist with posts. I like to ensure that my poses are well-thought out and organized before posting, which may lead to it being posted right before a due date (although Im always mindful of due dates for posts). Some important strengths I’ve highlighted below I possess that I believe makes me well-suited for this role are:

•Kindness:

I try my best to be nice and friendly with anyone and everyone I meet. I’m always willing to help out if you need anything and regardless of whether I know you well, rarely know you or something in-between, I’ll always act and treat you fairly and with lots of love and mutual respect. :)

•Committed:

Once I set my mind on something, I will put all of my time and effort into it. I am a very active and participating member in this community and will continue to be so. I absolutely love this amino and plan to continue to work hard here whether it be a roleplay, a post, etc. If selected, my commitment would also expand to include that of a curator’s roles (helping monitor chats, posts, working alongside the other curators and leaders, etc.). I will strive to fulfill my role well and look to my fellow team for guidance whenever needed.

•Open-Minded:

I am always willing to listen to others’ ideas and thoughts without judgement. I believe that (so long as they’re appropriate and respectful about it of course) everyone’s ideas are valid and should be listened to.

12) On a scale of 1-10, how professional would you rate yourself? Why?

I would rate myself at a 9 as I believe that I am very professional. I have been apart of several groups and leadership positions throughout amino and try to ensure that I act appropriately whenever I am. However, the reason I didn’t give myself a 10 is that I believe that there is always room for improvement and every person has their bad days/slip ups once in awhile.

13) If you were a colour, which would you be and why?

If I was a colour, I would be light pink. That color to me represents kindness, comion and calmness. All of these qualities I believe I possess. Also, I just think it’s a really pretty colour and gives off an aura of peace and comfort.

14) Tell me a bit about yourself!

A little bit about myself is that I’m 22 years old, live in the United States and have been apart of amino itself since 2017. Currently, I work as a hostess at a restaurant and I’m about to start a teaching assistant job as well at a special needs preschool which I’m super excited about. I love working with children and helping them to prosper and grow academically, socially and emotionally. Some fandoms that I love are hunger games (ofc), TVDU, Supernatural, Bridgerton, TUA, OUAT etc. Some hobbies that I enjoy doing are reading, roleplaying / editing on amino, knitting/crocheting and binging new shows lol. I look forward to getting to know everyone better in this community whether I am or am not selected as a curator and I wish everyone else who applies the best of luck. :)
