Some characters have been cast!!

Current cast have been announced for Haymitch, Lenore, Maysilee, Plutarch, Beetee, Wiress, Mags, Wyatt, Snow, Louella, Lou lou, Effie and Caesar!

For haymitch, Joseph Zada will be playing him and Lenore Dove will be played by Whitney Peak!

Producer Nina Jacobson said “Deb Zane and Dylan Jury oversaw an exhaustive (and exhausting!) search to find a young actor with the skill and imagination to embody young Haymitch. Jo prepared like crazy and stole our hearts. Then Whitney took our breath away as Lenore Dove. When we put the two of them together, it was one of those magical casting moments when you know your search has led you home.”

'Joseph Zada will next be seen starring in the Prime Video series We Were Liars, which premieres this June. He also just completed production for Netflix’s East of Eden, in which he stars alongside Florence Pugh, Mike Faist, Martha Plimpton, Tracy Letts, and Chris Abbott; Zoe Kazan has written and is executive producing this seven-episode limited series based on the 1952 John Steinbeck novel.

Zada currently can be seen starring in the lead role of Charlie in the Stan Australia Original Series Invisible Boys, based on the bestselling novel by Holden Sheppard.

Whitney Peak will next be seen as the lead in Sony Pictures’ shark thriller Shiver opposite Phoebe Dynevor, as well as alongside Liam Neeson and Teresa Palmer in 4 Kids Walk into a Bank for Amazon MGM Studios’ Orion label. She is most known for her starring role on Max’s reboot of Gossip Girl, playing Zoya Lott. She is also known for starring in Hocus Pocus 2'

McKenna Grace has also been announced as Maysilee Donner!

Next announced is Plutarch who will be played by Jesse Plemons!

"Plemons most recently appeared in Netflix’s “Black Mirror” episode “USS Callister: Into Infinity.” Other notable credits include “Friday Night Lights,” “Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Kinds of Kindness” and “Zero Day.” He is next set to star in an untitled film from director Alejandro G. Iñárritu and in Yorgos Lanthimos’ “Bugonia” alongside Emma Stone.

Erin Westerman, co-president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, said, “Jesse is one of the most talented actors of his generation, with a proven record of picking his roles selectively. Next we have.. Beetee Latier who will be played by Kelvin Harrison Jr!

Harrison Jr. recently voiced the role of Taka in “Mufasa: The Lion King” and will star as Jean-Michel Basquiat in “Samo Lives,” for which he will also serve as executive producer.

Okay next we have.... Wiress played by Maya Hawke!

Best known for her role as Robin on Netflix’s Stranger Things, which is expected to return this year for its final season, Hawke recently voiced Anxiety in the global hit Inside Out 2, also taking on roles in prestige projects including Bradley Cooper’s Maestro, father Ethan Hawke’s Flannery O’Connor biopic Wildcat, and Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City. , she’ll be seen portraying Lucia Joyce, Irish dancer and daughter of writer James Joyce, in a biopic from Aisling Walsh.

Coming next is Mags being played by Lili Taylor!

Taylor is a three-time Emmy nominee who will next be seen in the second season of Marvel’s “Daredevil: Born Again” as well as Netflix’s “Fear Street: Prom Queen.” She can also be seen starring in the mystery drama “Outer Range” on Amazon. Playing Wyatt Callow is Ben Wang!

Wang received critical acclaim for his lead performance in American Born Chinese, where he starred opposite Oscar winners Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan. Later this month, he headlines Karate Kid: Legends — landing the coveted role after an extensive global search that drew over 10,000 submissions. This summer, Wang also stars in The Long Walk, a dark dystopian thriller directed by Sunrise on the Reaping’s own Francis Lawrence and based on the Stephen King novel of the same name. He’s also wrapped lead roles in two independent features: Brian, opposite William H. Macy, Randall Park, and Edi Patterson, and the untitled R-rated comedy Celebrity movie, opposite Zoey Deutch, Jon Hamm, and John Slattery, from Wet Hot American Summer duo David Wain and Ken Marino.

The one and only President Snow is going to be played by Ralph Fiennes!

Fiennes, a BAFTA and Tony winner, most recently starred in Edward Berger’s “Conclave,” which earned him Oscar and Golden Globe nominations as well as a SAG Award for the ensemble cast. He’s next set to appear in Danny Boyle’s “28 Years Later.”

Im happy to announce that Louella and Lou lou are being played by 2 different actors: Molly McCann as Louella and Iona Bell playing Lou lou

McCann is known for such television credits as Bad Sisters, The Hardacres, The Boy That Never Was and Star Wars: Visions. Additionally, she has appeared in such features as Never Grow Old and was IFTA-nominated for Herself and can soon be seen in Feed

Bell has appeared on the television project Mandrake and has roles in the forthcoming features Fing!, Savage Flowers and Frayed.

The casting director must be listening to us because Elle Fanning is Effie!

Fanning’s recent credits include last year’s Oscar-nominated feature A Complete Unknown and Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value, premiering at Cannes this week. Coming off his first Oscar nomination and win for Searchlight’s A Real Pain, where he starred opposite filmmaker Jesse Eisenberg, Culkin is otherwise best known for his Emmy-winning performance in HBO’s Succession. Currently, he can be seen on Broadway in a sold-out run of Glengarry Glen Ross
