Hello everyone!

Just writing another au because... legit it's fun to do so. This is an idea I've had on my mind for almost 2 years now, but I couldn't share it for a few specific reasons I'd rather not talk about so publicly like this :/

I've also been watching a lot of series and documentaries about cold and closed cases. I've always been a fan of criminology and it breaks me to see that, sometimes, cases do go unsolved. People are never found and no one gets brought to justice.

• ѕynopѕιѕ •

In a alternate universe, Maggy mysteriously goes missing and is never seen again. The story revolves around her grieving husband, Flex, as he tries to cope with suddenly being a widower and single dad of 3. As suddenly he begins to experience his own torments with the monster that Maggy claimed was haunting her, Flex believes Beast is now after him after having killed his wife.

While Maggy and Flex tried raising a family of their own and live a peaceful life, Beast kept lurking in the shadows, trying to make their life as miserable as possible. Picking fights with Flex, trying to trick their kids into getting in dangerous situations, but the worst being manipulating and abusing Maggy into becoming more and more fragile as time goes on.

He took advantage of her already weakened state to infect her mind with false thoughts of low self-worth and unfaithfulness from her husband. Despite Flex's best attempts to keep her as healthy and happy as possible, his wife kept getting worse and worse over time; getting her to go outside was quite the task, them getting her to get out of bed at all.

After a few months in such conditions, one day, Isaac simply woke up to an empty spot on the other side of his bed. Then came days of panic, weeks of searching, months of grief. She'd simply vanished from the face of the Earth and, surprisingly, taken Beast with her. As a year ed, no new clues about her whereabouts, the search parties stopped and the case went cold, leaving Isaac to cope with it as much as he could without a resolution.

Already exhausted from the mental draining process that is to search for a missing loved one, Flex tried devoting himself to his kids as much as he could; trying to explain to them what was happening and, at the same time, trying not to think about it too much himself. However, after weeks of bottling it up, he started seeing and hearing things around his house. As he slowly discovered Beast was back, he immediately blamed Maggy's disappearance on him. However, as much as he tried telling other people that the damned thing was back, they'd just assumed the poor widower had gone mad after his wife vanished. It only took a few weeks for his kids to be taken away

...as he was left to the will of the Beast.

Isaac / Mr.Flex

• Now back to being on his own, Flex is struggling to defend himself against Beast's tricks and tormentings. Unsuccessfully trying to stay calm and thinking rationally, he's slowly but steadily going downhill. Without much company and refusing to talk back to Beast whenever he annoys him, Flex has started developing the habit of thinking out loud, or simply talking to himself. Consequently, he started loosing interest or any will to go outside and actually socialize. As less and less people started hearing from Isaac, most assumed he drowned in grief and left him be, not realizing he had eventually succumbed to Beast's lies and stopped trying to call out for help.

• After weeks in isolation, Isaac started developing social anxiety and having panic attacks whenever Beast showed up and locked him outside his own house.

Beast

• As soon as he found his way back "home", Beast realized how badly Flex was taking in the situation, giving him plenty of traumas and insecurities to use against him. Taunting him for his lack of intelligence as he didn't noticed what was really affecting his wife, lying to him about how his wife no longer wanted to fight and just wished for death all the time; his objective was to make Flex feel as useless and guilty for his wife's death as possible. With time, Isaac started putting less and less of a fight and isolating himself from other people. That way, Beast was able to do as he pleased without the risk of Flex telling people about him.

• Beast has an extensive list of abilities he can use to his advantage: he's able to enter people's minds to discover their weakest ppints and vulnerability. Besides all the emotional and psychological manipulation, he's able to cause vivid hallucinations or shape-shift into that person's said weak points and vulnerabilities.
