1) What strengths could you bring to the leader/curator team?

I’m good with people! It comes pretty naturally to be polite when necessary and I’m generally a good leader. If there’s just one thing I’m good at, it’s handling people in whatever state they’re in or whatever they’re thinking.

2) Why do you want to be on the leader/curator team?

I love and care about everyone on this amino a lot, so if I have the opportunity to make it a better, safer, and more communal place, I’ll take it! I really enjoy spending time here, too, so I think that while obviously being an addition of responsibility, being a curator would be really fun for me.

3) Do you have any ideas regarding activities and such for the Amino? If so, what are they?

When it comes to online communities, I’ve always thought it’s really cute when they do ‘sleepovers’ where they find a set time throughout all of the timezones and chat about weird and deep stuff for that period of time. It’s a little weird, obviously, but this amino is ‘a little weird’. Isn’t that what makes it fun?

4) How often are you/can you be online? Screenshot your activity and stats.

Done! It’s attached :)

5) Somebody creates an irrelevant or inappropriate post. What do you do?

I’d actually probably react slightly differently to either situation. If the post is simply irrelevant, I’d comment or message the poster and explain why it doesn’t make sense and politely ask them to take it down. If the post is inappropriate, I’d report it (and take it down? I’m not sure if curators can do that, honestly) and *then* message the poster explaining why it was inappropriate and why it had to be taken down. In both situations, I’d end the conversation by asking them to avoid similar content in the future.

6) There is a fight going on in a chat. How do you resolve it?

Assuming that both people are acting hostile (and the fight *doesn’t* consist of one person attacking a second person who is not fighting back), I would start by encouraging them to calm down and try to work it out. If this didn’t work, I’d encourage them to drop the topic overall. If they still didn’t drop it, I’d then move on to saying that they may be kicked from the chat if they continue this behavior. Should it progress, (and should I have the power to do so) I would proceed to remove directly involved and openly hostile parties from said chat. They, of course, may re when they’ve decided to act maturely, unless the fight included bigotry or hatespeech. Then they may not. Personally I have no tolerance for that. I hope that’s not an issue.

7) Somebody is harassing a member and no other leader/curator has any idea in regards to the situation. What do you do?

I would start by messaging a few other leaders/curators with an explanation of the situation and screenshots, if available, and asking them what to do about it. In the meantime, I would encourage the member being harassed to block the person harassing them while we figure out if the offense is worth banning the harassing member or simply warrants a warning and a stern talking to, like a slap on the wrist.
