I'm lazy today, so I'm just gonna copy and paste the questions.
1. You name (or what you’d like to be called) and where you are from?
Just call me Siren! I'm from the US!
2. If you’ve thrifted before, what’s one of your fav pieces?
My favorite piece EVER is a revolving spice rack that I found at a rummage sale. It can hold 16 different spices!!! I've gotta clean out the jars still, and I'm gonna put chalkboard paint on top of the jars so I can pick and choose what spices to put in! Maybe I can even do sprinkles!
3. What is one thing you hope to find in the future while thrifting (maybe a holy grail item)?
I really want to find a wooden dining table set, rectangular yet the chairs are carved with rounded backs. Something really classic! I'll match it with a light green or light orange table runner and matching accessories! However, a butter dish w/ a lid and a storage wheely cart for my cleaning suppies are tied for second place.
4. Do you prefer to thrift alone or with company?
I honestly prefer going with company. I've gone alone, and sometimes you just don't find anything fun, but if you'd gone with someone else, you suddenly find all this cool stuff that you don't need!
5. Fav thrift store?
My favorite place to thrift shop is St Vinnies! They're so different in different cities, and they are such jackpots! (St. Vincent De Paul)
6. How did you start thrifting? Did you always thrift growing up? Did you have a friend later in life drag you to a vintage hole in the wall? We wanna know!
I would always go to thrift stores and rummage sales with my best friend: My Grandma. I got her eye for good finds, and I find such joy in walking through aisles of dining ware and tacky, oversized jackets.
7. What’s your aesthetic? Vintage bombshell? 90’s babe? Cute and cozy? Boho queen? Etc.
My aesthetic is cozy. I love wood tones, but I also like splashes of color and neat, odd little decorations. My apartment is gonna have so many decorations it's not even funny. But it's still going to be cozy, and I'll try my best not to clutter it. ;)
8. Do you have any fav songs to listen to while thrifting? A magical playlist that helps you get in the zone?
I never really listen to music, because normally I'm so busy blabbing to whoever I'm with about a cool find that I don't even have the time to plug in my headphones :)
9. Where did you find out about this amino?
I simply searched the word 'thrift' into the search feature and found my people.
10. Anything else you’d like to share (hobbies, hidden talents, fav tv show, fav color, anything).
I'm an aspiring author, specifically of poetry, and one of my main hobbies is roleplaying.
One of the things I'm most ionate about is future planning. I love collecting stuff for my hope chest (I'll post details about that later), I love making faux budget sheets that include all the expenses, my income, and it even includes a grocery expense so that we'll never go hungry! I make the spreadsheets in google sheets, and everything is self calculating!
I that even when I was younger, I would love to draw up elaborate plans for my dream apartment when I grew up. The dining room was always in the same room as the kitchen, and there was always a toilet hidden away in the corner of the laundry room, the sink right across from it, turning a one bath apartment into a 1 1/4 bath apartment ^^
I have so many tips and cool ideas, so please, hmu! I wanna see and share awesome pictures of amazing finds! I CAN SHOW YOU GUYS MY DINING SET
