Chapter Three

New friend, new worries

"This won't work..." Veer grumbled as he fell to the ground, there was a makeshift campfire ready to be lit up with fire. The soft 'plat' sounds were heard from outside as it rained a bit, making his fur wet a tiny bit and hard for Veer to make a campfire. He flicked his ear in annoyance as he stared at the not yet lit campfire "I literally got myself food and yet the fire won't start" He muttered as he slightly shoved the chicken he hunted, his green eyes showed boredom and annoyance. His gold fur dripped slightly wet from the ongoing rain, he looked up at the sky and sighed as he saw a big storm cloud covering the entire area.

Off in the distance sat a black furred fox, her purple eyes stared at Veer cautiously, her fluffy tail wrapped around herself as she then stood up and walked over to Veer. She was pretty small to Veer but not that small, she shook her pelt a bit, trying to get rid of the tons of water within it. She then got ready to make herself known to Veer, she took a deep inhale "Hello!" She exclaimed as she happily bounced over next to Veer "Hey" Veer responded calmly "Not to be rude at all but...who are you?" He questioned with his head tilted and eyes staring into the foxes own mischievous purple eyes "I'm Schemer! The best hunter fox in this area" She stated as she put a paw on her chest "You?" "..Veer, past groep lead fighter" He said as he ed his life in the groep but quickly shook away the memories

"Aren't the groep a group full of...Bobcats...?" Schemer asked as she then poked at the hunted chicken "Yeah, I left because....I did something.." He mumbled it softly but Schemer heard "Anyways, what's a fox doing around here, your off in the east, vixen valley" Veer stated Curiously as he gave the campfire a blank stare "Oh...well I ran away from home and I panicked about something, ran farther than I intentioned and here I am!" Schemer explained sheepishly, she then let out a sigh and laid down.

"Actually, that's not the whole story. You see that storm" Schemer started as she pointed at the sky, the dark clouds forming a thunderstorm covered the entire sky now "Well, I ran away from Vixen Valley worried about my brother and sister who just went off on a quest of some sort. I looked behind me and saw my entire den with my family get flooded, I don't know if their alive or not, I was too far away to go back and check." She explained the bigger part of the story, her purple gaze down on the ground as rain droplets fall on her head and onto the ground "Who of your family lived there?" Veer asked once again, he now is looking at Schemer, studying her appearance.

She was a fluffy black fox with slightly pale purple eyes, she had extra fluff on her head that covers her right eye -good thing she sat at his right side so he could see her only showing eye- and a small scar that seemed to be from a wolf on her tail seemingly threatening to make her tail fall off even though that's not even close to what'll happen to her tail -Though most likely it will stay on- "Uh...My parents, my siblings and my one cousin" she answered, Veer nodded his head to acknowledge he was listening "We probably gotta find a place to stay" Veer stated as he looked around for some caves, dens or at least a good tree to take shelter under

Schemer then got up with a jump and stretched "Let's go looking maybe...?" She said as she then flicked her tail and walked off to some more trees. "She is quite the interesting fox" Veer said to himself as he followed after the slightly smaller but more fluffy creature

YEEEAAAHH TWO POSTS IN ONE DAY. Also, to all my people who asked for commissions, don't worry! I'm working on them the best I can but right now my hands are shaky and so my drawing of lines are messy and I'm taking a brake from drawing till my hands aren't shaky anymore, thank you for understanding(If you do). But I shall get them done right away as soon as I can
