Taehyun P.O.V

Though I knew something was very wrong, I decided not to question Kai when he said nothing was wrong. I don't like the idea of letting him do what he wants but I guess it's the best. I'd definitely keep an eye on him to make sure he's ok. If he's ok, well...I'm relieved. I don't know why but I'm feeling like something bad has happened with him. Something that he didn't deserve. This feeling is just weird I guess. I'm worried about him. But since I've decided to leave him by himself and take his time, I think I should do it.

"You ok? You look absent minded"

Beomgyu hyung said sitting beside me with his pancakes. Soobin and Yeonjun hyung were packing lunch and Kai was yet to come downstairs. For a brief moment, I decided not share what I'm feeling but then I decided that it'd be a better decision if one of the hyungs know.

"I am kind of actually. Kai has been acting a bit weird you know? Like, he's hiding something from us. It looks like that something bad happened with him"

I said. Beomgyu hyung shoved a small piece of pancake in his mouth and spoke up

"Strange. What could have happened with him?"

"I don't know. It looks like as if he's worried and disturbed about something"

"Does he still miss the two girls? I mean it's not unusual. They were so close. It can happen that he misses them"

"I wanna believe that too but it doesn't seem like that. I mean, I'm not saying that he doesn't miss them but it doesn't look like that he's acting weird because he misses them. It looks like as if someone did something bad to him that really scared him"

"He probably had a nightmare."

"I think so. He looked scared and about to cry when I woke him up."

"Well.... don't worry. I'd keep an eye on him. It was nice that you let me know. I'm sure nothing will happen and we can make that boy happy as usual. Now quickly finish your cereal. We gotta go, right?"

He concluded smiling. I smiled back and nodded. Beomgyu hyung is the type of friend who'll take care of you and I believe he won't do any different with Kai if needed. I feel a bit relieved since I told him. After breakfast, I went upstairs to bring my backpack. As soon as I got up, I saw Kai, fully dressed up looking at something on his neck at the mirror.

"Hyuka?"

I called him out to which he was completely startled and immediately stopped what he was doing and turned to me.

"Is everything ok?"

I asked.

"Yeah...yeah"

He said giving another fake smile. At this point, I'm convinced that something is very wrong. Before I could say something else, Soobin hyung called us

"Kai!! Taehyun!!! Come down quickly!! Our car is here!!"

Soobin hyung shouted from downstairs. We grabbed our and Beomgyu hyung's backpacks and rushed down. Kai grabbed a sandwich and a pack of juice from the table as his breakfast. I chuckled at his acts. We got out. In front of our house, there's a beautiful lake. The blue water in it is really beautiful and pleasing. Surrounded by greenery, it looks magical. I was taking a glance at that lake before getting in our car when I noticed a girl dressed in a puff sleeved purple blouse with a black skirt and dark purple palm heels sitting beside the lake. Her orange hair was straight and in a side clip style. Her shirt's collar and end of the of the sleeves were black. She looked cute from the back due to her outfit and hair. I got in the car looking at her and wondering who she is. After our car started to drive, the girl turned her face towards the car and smiled and seeing the girl I was in complete shock. It was Vaniya, mine and Kai's friend who had ed away 8 months ago. I gotta be dreaming. How's she here? I looked again at there and saw no one. I sighed in relief. It was nothing but my hallucination. Oof! I was so scared. I looked at Kai who was beside me. In front of us there were Yeonjun and Soobin hyung. In the front seat, there was Beomgyu hyung. Everyone was busy doing this and that and so was Kai. He was playing on his phone. I was about to call him out, when I noticed his neck. There were signs of twinges. Not ordinary ones but quite scary and harmful ones. I hardly managed myself from screaming.

"Kai! What's that on your neck?"

I asked him. His eyes went wide and he immediately covered his neck with hands and faked a smile. AGAIN.

"I-it's.... nothing"

He said stuttering at the beginning of his sentence. In sure something is wrong.

"Tell me what it is."

I demanded. Kai sighed realizing he can't get away with this issue

"You won't believe me."

He sighed again. I tapped his right shoulder

"Hey, it's ok. You can trust me."

"I know, Taehyun. I can and I do trust you but you won't believe me. You'd think I'm hallucinating"

"I won't. I promise!"

I assure him smiling. He took a deep breath before starting.

"Last night I woke up because of sounds of giggles. I went to the balcony and saw Vaniya with Moonie. They were playing. The invited me to but I refused. Them, they did this to me."

He said. I was completely surprised and I was about to conclude it as his dream and that was when I ed the orange headed girl. Though the girl's face was unclear to me, I can now kind of say I think it was Vaniya.

"I-i saw Vaniya too."

Kai's eyes went wide as he scanned me from head to toe.

"What?!"

He whisper shouted. I nodded and explained him the incident.

"Look, Kai, let's not worry the hyungs. Let's keep it a secret until we solve it. Ok?"

He nodded

"Ok, maknaes. Your whispering time is over. Get down now! We've reached!"

Yeonjun hyung said cheerfully smiling. We smiled back and hit down. Making eye , we promised to keep it a secret between us until we know what it is
