I have to it, I only discovered this artist a few days ago, but as soon as I heard her music I was hooked. Dodie Clark is a British singer/songwriter who started posting videos on her YouTube channel - doddleoddle - in 2011. She’s since released 2 EPs and has hundreds of videos (originals and covers) on her YouTube channel.
She plays the ukulele and her music ranges from beautiful, melancholy laments to upbeat songs with funny lyrics. Her voice is very innocent and so nice to listen to. What I like about her is that she seems like a really honest, down to earth person. None of this celebrity pretentiousness or ‘Ooh look at me, I’m quirky’ nonsense, just a fun person with a love for music. That’s quite rare to find these days.
She also one of those artists that whenever I hear her music, it just makes me want to play the uke and write songs and be like her.
