Okay, this sounds like it would be simple, but there’s so much to learn and so many ways to do so. I haven’t been learning about music my whole life, and I really want to learn now!
Do you have any favorite books, podcasts, websites, videos, etc. that would help me learn more about music?
More specifically music theory and different composers and periods (right now mostly the older stuff like Classical, Baroque, Romantic, etc.). I’m interested in the lives of composers, maybe how they worked, how to identify music from different eras.... I’m also fascinated by how music works in general and it’s relationship to math, as well as instruments themselves, specifically the violin family.
Obviously, listening to it helps, but I want more! The cheaper the better, because I’m pretty much broke :joy:
(I do have a birthday coming up, though...!)
Thanks for any help!
