Sooo I am new in the "ukelele world", so new that i don't even own one yet :joy: . That's actually what i want help with. I want to get my first uke soon, but I don't want to make a bad purchase. I dont want to spend a lot of money, but I don't want a terrible instrument, sounding like crap. My thoughts are:

1. Buy one from a online

A guitar shop is not an option, since ukuleles are not that popular in my country (Greece 🇬🇷). I also am not sure it is worth to order from Amazon or something, cause it might be same prize for same quality, only having to wait a whole month to get it. But even ordering from my country is risky, because i cannot ensure the quality. And since, as I said, ukes are not so popular, I am not sure I will fond something of quality.

2. Ordering one from a craftsman / guitar maker

This way I can guarantee the quality, since I know the wood that is used, but I don't think the local shop has experience in ukes. I think he can pull it off though, if I give him dimensions.

What I want from you guys is to tell me how much is about the cost for a custom built concert uke and if you know of a cheap (about 60$/€) concert ukulele that might be able to be shiped internationaly

That was a lot :sleepy: . I really appreciate any help you can provide!

I agree in what ben said, but if you know a music store in your city or somewhere near, find out if they sell ukuleles. You can test the Instrument for yourself, get a first grip on it and an employee can give you some advice. Since they know what they're selling ;)

Ordering online is fine if you know the uke you want. It’s always better to ‘try before you buy’, but failing that you can get recommendations, so a bit of research and watch videos online to hear how they sound.
