Backstory (Up to age 20)

Ages 5-11 "Childhood memories"

For as long as Shadow can , she'd been a weak and sick child, that didn't have many friends because of how often she'd stayed a home. Her parents did everything they could to heal her, but nothing ever worked for that long and they couldn't afford for more expensive treatment. Eventually, this would result in Shadow's father leaving with her sister ??? to live somewhere else so he could take on a job that could pay off their medical bills. In the meantime, Shadow was left alone with only her mother to take care of her, but it didn't take much for Shadow to feel like a burden upon her family. School was awful for her as the kids didn't want to even associate with her, not that it mattered anyways because she would eventually be home schooled. At the age of 10, Shadow was so fascinated by the beauty and old folk tales from Mount ???? (Shian Sakura) that she went off on her own to explore it but came across a pack of aggressive black wolves. The alpha of the pack would've killed a gray and white wolf pup if it weren't for Shadow's sudden instinct to jump in and help, because the stood-out pup reminded a little bit of herself... Scared, out of place, and helpless… For her act of courage, a mysterious okami spirit granted her the power to shapeshift into a black wolf, and so she used her new power to scare off the wolf pack and take the grey pup back home to take care of him. Shadow named the grey wolf pup Wolfer and they both played, bonded, and shared their struggle with each other. Shadow even used her new power to give her friend the ability to speak, which made it easier for her mother because she was happy to finally see Shaz find her place. But of course, all good things must come to an end...

Ages 11-12 "It's Their World, not mine"

One day when Shadow was playing with her toys with her best friend Wolfer, a portal suddenly appeared and dragged them both in it, transporting them to an unknown magical world. A beacon was emitted from the portal they came through and disappeared once the portal closed. As they both explored the forest they spawned into, they came across a wolf pack with wolves bigger than themselves?! Just when they thought they'd be wolf food, again, the alpha of the pack came up to them and explained how there were only a selected few in this world who could make a portal and seeing as they came from one, the alpha insisted that they'd be transported to the Kitsune Kingdom to be questioned. So, there they went, to this massive kingdom full of huge foxes, wolves, carnivores, and herbivores alike. Instead of going through the front, they entered through the back of the castle and kept in this 'questioning room' which was more like a hangout room with lots of bean bags and pillows. Shadow and Wolfer waited for the s to meet them and what they found out was that apparently the world's inhabitants consisted of larger real-world animals and mythical creatures… No humans at all. All the s introduced themselves one by one: Sparkles, Trickster, Justin, Nightmare, and [REDACTED]. After a bit of talking and discussing what to do moving forward, [REDACTED] thought it was best to keep them in the safety of the castle until they figured out a way to get them back home, because the portal that transported them here was a dimension portal, not a teleportation portal.

Ages 13-15 "Our Last Hope"

In the meantime, Shadow and Wolfer soon forgot about going home and more on becoming an themselves and helping with the war between animals/creatures and Gloom/monsters. At some point in the war, Nightmare was caught helping Night Tempest Slash but realized the harm he was doing to his friends before escaping Night Slash's control over him and retreating back to the comfort of his forgiving friends. Nightmare would then proceed to be quarantined for many months, leaving one less to protect the green lands. This was the last straw for [REDACTED], and so in an attempt to weaken Night Slash he fought him in a 1v1 but ultimately failed and fell into a comma after his fight with Night Slash. [REDACTED] did manage to weaken him, but now he lost all his strength and magic to keep him alive. Everyone was crushed to find out that he only had a limited time before the dark magic in his body would consume him and eventually kill him, Sparkles got hit pretty hard by this news. After years of training and fighting alongside the s, Shadow and Wolfer both became one once [REDACTED] died and past his raw magic to both Shadow and Wolfer. Unfortunately, [REDACTED]'s death would force the s to make a life changing decision…. They needed more magic in order to stop Night Slash once and for all, but they couldn't risk draining any magic from their world, so instead, they combined their powers to make a dimensional portal in order for one of them to gather enough magic from other worlds and then make a portal to come back. Shadow was the only one brave enough to volunteer, fully knowing that this was their last chance to protect this world they called home…

Ages 16-17 "The [REDACTED] Facility…"

It was tough to say goodbye but Shadow promised that she would return safe and sound… If only she knew what was in store for her. It hadn't been too long before she stumbled across a world similar to hers, but the place she spawned into looked like it had been through some sort of war. The trees were covered with darts, bullet holes, and even claw marks. Shadow explored a bit to find the magic source of this world but was caught by one of the people who lived in that forest. They explained that there are two facilities that control this forest, the Creatures Safety and Protection Organization and the [REDACTED]. The C.S.P.O. helped contain and protect the creatures they rescued from the [REDACTED] facility, while the [REDACTED] capture or purchase monsters and creatures for military experiments/purposes. Unfortunately, Shadow was right in the middle of another attack and tried to flee with the person to their base but was stopped by a group of [REDACTED] soldiers. The person gave their life to help Shadow escape but when she got away, she forgotten which direction would take her to safety. Things only got worse when she transformed into her wolf form to try and get away from more [REDACTED] soldiers but was ultimately caught and brought back into the horrid place. When she finally woke up inside the foundation, it was when they used a device to take her powers away from her, leaving her stuck in her wolf form and unable to escape from this place. Shadow spent almost two years in that building, learning how to survive, HATE, fear, and hope… hope that she will one day escape this prison and return home to the ones she loved, especially her best friend… During her time in the foundation, she made a small friend she nicknamed Blueberry blob. But she also made some enemies, the one responsible for most of her suffering was the chairman's son Andrei. Shadow did everything just to get back at him, no matter the consequence, because it was him that captured her back when they first met (and when she almost killed him at the time). The one thing that Shadow despised the most was the fact that they used her own magic to control her and forced her to work for the facility. It wasn't until a little 'friend' began to help her and used Shadow's hate towards the place to plan an escape. Shadow did manage to get most of her powers back and cause an explosion within the facility, which lead to a breach and she made sure that the whole place burned to the ground, along with everything they've ever worked for. When Shadow finally escaped the place, she opened up a portal to another world and left her pal and enemies behind, hoping to never see them again, especially that brat of a scientist

Ages 18-19 "Temporary Home"

Once Shadow got a chance to rest in this new world she traveled too, she worked on gaining more magic, which was easy considering that the place was filled with monsters who possessed magic. Despite getting tired of being in her wolf form, she thought that it was better to blend in with the monsters and beings there. So, she settled in a forest called Snowdin forest where she drained the magic of the world little by little and stored it into a Cherry Blossom tree. Shadow did manage to make some friends along the way but it would only delay her from coming home. It was only when she'd been left behind and abandoned that enraged the suppressed anger within her. The voice inside her head was no longer a voice anymore, but a more unpredictable and mischief clone of Shadow, almost as if it were her silhouette…. With hatred and anger blinding Shadow, she made a deal with her inner demon that 'promised to lend her their strength and keep her empathy from distracting Shadow from her goal'. Once the deal had been made Shadow changed into a whole other person and became cruel, ruthless, and also regretful. Eventually, once she'd 'collected' enough powerful souls to create a portal leading to her home, she'd sighed one last time in front of her tree, and left the world she was in, leaving no regrets of who she lost, hurt, or abandoned. The only thing Shadow regretted, was not leaving sooner and letting her HATE control her actions....If only she knew how much it would effect her…. TO BE CONTINUED :)

Shadow is a kind funny girl, and love making friends. But there is also a bad side of her, she usually doesn't turn bad unless she's mad or controlled. You can tell she's evil by her eyes, her evil eyes look like cat eyes and they turn cyan. She uses her Sword or Claws the most, but she also has slashes and blasts. She can turn monster souls into her own soul by turning it cyan, she can also use it to use the monster/human she killed as her puppet to protect her if needed. Once she has killed the monster/human and claimed their soul she can use it as energy, wiping any chance of regaining the soul back. She can also glitch teleport and glitch into other monster's/humans to confuse their opponent like an illusion, if she uses her Hate's power. She can heal, but healing takes most of her power, the more she uses attacks or healing the weaker she is. Shadow in her wolf form is faster, stronger, but shorter and takes more damage when hit. She can create most of the same attacks but she is more uncontrollable of this form if she loses her temper or fall to her instincts.

HATE's Theme Song

HATE is the manifestation of Shadow’s negative emotions and is basically her evil clone. At first HATE thought of Shadow as her friend because she used to say that ‘friends help out friends’ when she was merely just a voice in Shadow’s head, but after HATE got an actual form, she chose to resemble Shadow and thought of her as merely her host. HATE likes to chat with Shadow and act casual around her but she mostly acts like that to annoy Shadow because she just loves to make her mad. HATE can only things she experienced with Shadow when she was first created and she can make her own memories, but she doesn't have access to any of Shadow's memories before the prison.

Personality

HATE is chaotic evil through and through and only helps others to get what she wants, the only exception is her host Shadow which she’s the only one HATE is actually willing to keep alive or help her when it comes to mental problems, but even then, she’s very manipulative and want Shadow to have the same mindset as her. HATE loves to watch others suffer both physically and mentally, because not only does it give her joy but she feeds off of stuff like that. HATE NEVER frowns… its not that she can’t but she chooses to always show an evil grin no matter how she’s feeling or what the situation is. Most of the time HATE is very sinister and playful but she can be very serious and mad sometimes, she’s barely ever sad too because she’ll think of it as an opportunity to try again or come back stronger from it. HATE loves to act all perky and free spirited but can switch from easy going to brutal in an instant if she really wanted to. HATE fears nothing, not even death… well except for one thing which is [REDACTED].

Origins & Backstory (Up to age 20)

Ages 16-17 “Your Inner Voice”

When Shadow was trapped inside her wolf form at the age 16, HATE was merely a voice to help calm her and have someone to talk too, feeding off the anger and hatred Shadow had at the time, saying things like “it’s okay, we can just chat to each other in this prison of sorrow”, “don’t be afraid, we can help each other! Friends help out friends”, “listen to my voice… Let me do all the talking” and things like that… Slowly manipulating Shadow’s hate in order to help her ‘survive’ the situation that she was in. Towards the end of age 17, HATE finally had a form but only Shadow could see it because she didn’t allow HATE to go outside the Void (otherwise known as the darkest part of her mind). This didn’t stop HATE from continuing to manipulating Shadow and helping her escape the prison.

Ages 18-19 “Your Inner demons”

During age 18, HATE remained in Shadow’s head, unable to escape due to Shadow’s power overruling hers, but HATE was determined to set herself free and overtake Shadow’s power slowly but surely. HATE only really talked to Shadow mostly when she’s dreaming but she’ll sometimes interrupt Shadow’s thinking when she’s awake or experiencing any strong negative emotion such as a lose or when she’s extremely angry. When Shadow reached age 19, HATE slowly manipulated Shadow into making a deal with her which would allow Shadow to use HATE’s powers as long as she was able to have some sort of freedom, but Shadow made sure to remind HATE if she broke the deal before completing it, Shadow would lock HATE in her mind forever and never allow her to speak with Shadow ever again. At this point HATE knew that Shadow’s power would not keep her locked away forever and she would slowly escape from her mind prison, she just had to be patient…. During those times HATE was allowed to present herself as a smokey cloud thing but she could not reveal her true form yet and was bound to Shadow and her every command. The more Shadow used HATE’s powers/relied on it, the more control HATE had over Shadow, which was all a part of her plan to escape once the deal was completed. As HATE slowly corrupted Shadow, she began to have more and more control over her, especially when Shadow allowed HATE to use her body in order to ‘collect’ more magic in order to make a portal back home.

Ages 20-23 "Fear and Hate"

Once the deal was completed and Shadow finally returned home HATE immediately broke free of the Void and fled to the Dark Wasteland in order to team up with NightSlash and do villain stuff. HATE made a deal with Night to help him reach his goal as long as he would give her the freedom to whatever she wanted as long as it didn’t mean helping the s. Once the deal was made, HATE did everything she could to make Shadow’s life miserable and her friends afraid and distrusting of her, slowly gaining more and more power from Shadow’s rage and sorrow. HATE became the second in command of the villain squad and was in charge of recruiting , proceeding with top secret plans, pulling the strings behind the scenes, and the most reliable person to NightSlash. Eventually HATE started to lose more and more power over Shadow because she was able to control her emotions and trauma. Basically, for the entire time she was free to do whatever, HATE just went around doing what she did best which was to make life miserable for others and watched from afar in amusement, while also maintaining her power over the only person that could defeat her.

Abilities

HATE can change her appearance to anyone and anything she sees but it would have to take a lot of her magic to actually change her colors to that certain form. HATE has the ability to harden her body, become smoke, and turn into a blob. HATE can use black vines/tentacles at will and she can regenerate any form of physical injury. She can also corrupt people and show them illusions of what they fear in order to catch them off guard but the amount of time and control depends on the victim and how much magic she has. HATE can heal others but it takes more concentration and power because her powers are meant to harm people rather than heal/help. HATE can go into Shadow’s mind and even create illusions in the Void but since Shadow is her host, this only applies to her.
