Creating this to try to brainstorm ideas and reestablish ideas that were already decided on. You can either read or scroll past, but please do not steal this concept. I have been working on this for over a year now

Humans and monsters live together in harmony. No war ever happened between them, meaning that monsters had never been trapped anywhere. Obviously, some humans are still going to be jerks to monsters and some monsters will be jerks to humans, but that's just how life is
Been back and fourth between having six or seven kingdoms. Seven could lead to more diversity in designs and kingdoms, but I would need to think about who the seventh ruler is. Already established rulers are Toriel, Asgore, Undyne, Papyrus, Alphys (although she built Mettaton to rule in her place), Sans. Maybe the seventh could be Muffet? Unless there's a boss monster I'm forgetting about. If six kingdoms with Muffet as a ruler, Sans and Papyrus could've potentially merged their kingdoms to save on resources, leading to a two-color kingdom
Asriel could potentially be one of the kingdom ambassadors if he exists in this AU. Toriel and Asgore will have either split or would've never been together, so Asriel's existence is hard to think of
The seven ambassadors will be color coded based off of the seven souls, but not all of them will be human. The group will be a mix of humans, monsters, and human/monster hybrids
Magic is obviously a much more prevalent thing in this AU, but human magic is different from monster magic and there's some jobs more suited for specific monsters while others are more suited for humans
Each kingdom has a special artifact. This artifact is a remnant of the original kingdom they all split from and is the source of all power in each kingdom. If a war were to break out, a kingdom could be rendered completely defenseless if the artifact is removed. Possible idea for an alternate timeline
The original kingdom had no main color scheme, everyone having worn whatever color they wished. The color schemes only appeared once the rulers (that were not entirely rulers just yet) began arguing after the disappearance of the original king, each color being representative of which ruler the people of the kingdom ed most before the kingdom was split into the collection of kingdoms it is today
Gaster, the original king, could've also potentially have been some sort of god. Perhaps he didn't exactly disappear, but was reborn as a mortal. Which mortal? Unsure as of right now. This idea isn't set in stone
Perhaps it's possible to bring Gaster back once the kingdoms are reunited? Or maybe he's lost forever. Nobody knows what had happened to him, after all
The boss monsters will have their color schemes altered to fit the theme of each kingdom, possibly even having their own motifs to tie the new colors together. This will not change their core design to keep the characters recognizable, such as Undyne being a blue fish with red hair or Alphys being a yellow lizard, but it will change their outfits in a way that compliments the characters
Main monster groups in each kingdom may possibly be the monsters that show up in their respective areas of the game, such as the Ruins having froggits and whimsuns while Snowdin has snowdrakes and gyftrot, or I could possibly scramble who lives where to have monsters that wouldn't normally interact with each other interact
Grillby would have a major role in the story, mostly due to him being one of my favorite character concepts, but I am currently unsure of where to put him
Unsure if Frisk or Chara should be the "main" human. Perhaps I could even create a new human altogether and have the two of them be relegated to cameo slots. Honestly, I could possibly even just make the one that starts the entire journey either a monster or a hybrid
Still love the idea of a hybrid being part axolotl monster. Unsure of how to go about ensuring the design is done in a way that isn't too overwhelming
Definitely want to create some new monster types for each kingdom. Possibly even make it so each kingdom experiences a different type of climate and biome to ensure maximum diversity
Want diversity in gender and orientation as well. I'll definitely ensure the seven have their own diversity sprinkled in, but I would have to ensure that both major and minor characters just have subtle details. I like the idea of one of the seven being autistic (because I am) and I could possibly make Toriel biromantic at the very least because I honestly feel like that works for her character. As for the others, I would have to think about it
Unsure of what tone this AU should take on. I don't want it to be overly serious because then people would potentially get bored, but too many jokes would cause others to not take it seriously. This is a tough decision
Need to figure out how to write anything for this AU. I can imagine it as a comic just fine, but I'm not an artist. I'm not much of a writer, so it would be difficult to create a story that wouldn't drone on. Also need to figure out the plot beyond "kingdom split, seven reunite kingdom"
Need to to edit this post as I come up with more ideas
