Emotionless and Empty [Contest Entry]

Hi there! Today I’ve brought you guys a contest entry for the Vent Contest. It’s for people who may need to express some feelings and things like that.

My reason for entering is because whenever I hear about something from like my friend who has depression, whenever she shares and talks about it with me, I just don’t know what to feel. I feel sad for her but I also feel kind of useless because I don’t know what to say or do. The only thing I can say is “It’s alright” if they start apologizing.

My mom came to me last night and we started talking only a little about my friend and then some other deep stuff. She started apologizing after a bit While she was crying because she probably thought that she was just causing another problem.

But the point is, I don’t know what to feel or do in these types of situations.
