Hello UTAU amino! Again, I've been seeing some problems recently, and I'd like to adress them. Today's PSA is about...

Crediting images

Here in UTAU, we require any artwork not made by you to say who made the art. Anything ranging from bases, references, adopts, edits, background images or cover images all need to be credited.

If you do not give proper credit who WHO made the art, then a CATR or Assistant will give you a warning. When receiving a warning, do not wait 9 minutes to reply to them saying, "the links aren't working." People will only be given 10 minutes to edit their post in order to add credits.

Edit:

You need to say WHO made the art, don't screenshot where you got it from, and don't screenshot the links from the reverse image links you are given. That isn't proof, and it'll still be counted as being uncredited.

Say that the is on this Amino, and their art isn't on google. In order to give them credit, you'll need to say who made it, or you can link their profile.

If they are someone on amino, then do not post something unless you have added credits to them in the post somewhere. If you can't find the , then try pming your friend for help. Another thing that'll help, is if you save the post. You can do that by clicking the three dots in the top right, then click "save post."

Another reason why the links may not work, is because you're trying to use your edit/creation into the search engines. This won't work because you messed with the original drawing, and the search engines are sensitive.

I also understand if you're trying to use Tin.eye, it may not work sometimes unless you have it in the proper file type. This means it work usually work for screenshots, and it needs to be a PNG or JPG file.

Proof such as layers, a sketch, angle shots (traditional art), coloring/sketch/lineart on separate layers, or movie is helpful, especially if you're new.

However, proof isn't always required if you have many similar drawings. If you have a consistent style, then after awhile, people will recognize it. Though, proof is always good. Just in case something happens or there's a mixup.

And to the current/future CATR/assistants, make sure you look at other people's posts before warning them. If they have a consistent style, and most posts have proof, then don't warn em! Being a helper isn't just warn this, warn that because no proof, you need to actually look into it and know it's not their art.

Posts will be given 10 minutes to add any credits. 10 minutes are given, because it doesn't often take that long, and you should've most likely read the [guidelines] before you posted it. Do not complain that 10 minutes are too short, because you're actually lucky, chats only get 5 minutes to get fixed.

Things such as gacha, portrait live, monster maker, love nikki, or gacha bases will not be allowed. These posts are no longer allowed due to a majority of people not giving credit to the original art.

Things including unlust, lust or any kind of drug character is also not allowed. This is a family friendly amino, and we do not allow any 18+ content or names to be used, and we do not allow drugs to be here due to the negative influence it has on others, and most drugs may trigger s here.

Using another person's character for a wiki image is not allowed, this is called face claim. If you do credit the image, then it's still not allowed. We require wikis to use your OWN character for images, not a pre-made character.

Finally, tracing or recoloring an image will not be allowed. Tracing is very disrespectful to the original artist, and we forbid tracing here. Recoloring an image is also disrespectful, and we won't allow it. Recoloring an image also includes coloring pages, even if they're free.

Always, always, always say WHO made any art not belonging to you. And don't complain if you get a warning or how the time is 10 minutes. Finally, don't make a post saying "I was trying, so you shouldn't have hid it." because that's being off topic
