How did the Monsters in Undertale know that human souls could shatter the barrier and even then some how did they know that it would take 7 Souls to shatter the barrier? I'm not sure if I had asked this question before. I don't think the humans that trapped them would've actually told them how to shatter the barrier because that would give monsters the idea that the barrier could be shattered. Plus the humans trapped the monsters after a war and telling them how they could potentially escape doesn't sound like a good strategy.
