VKA Story Writing Contest!

Hello, everyone!

This is Pooper, your host, speaking!

We, the staff, have decided to hold a story writing contest. As a roleplay Amino, a LOT of us are capable of writing stories. We want to see that writing!

What are the rewards?

First Place: Winner Title, custom artwork drawn by Bitters, 50 Amino Coins

Second place: Second Place Title, 50 Amino Coins

Third Place: Third Place Title

What do I write about?

Thats for you to decide! You can decide if it's romance, action, a thriller, horror, ANYTHING. As long as it is related to vampires, in English, and longer than 3 sentences.

If you can't think of one, you may use the internet; link where you got the plot from if so. Do note that rule 1 still applies; No. AI.

What are the rules?

1. AI

You may not use AI(artificial intelligence) during any part of your writing. You are automatically disqualified from the contest if you are found using AI.

2. Plagiarism

You are not allowed to plagiarize another person's writing, whether they are in the Amino or not. If you are found to have plagiarized your story from elsewhere, you will be disqualified from this contest.

3. 18+

Stories may not contain any form of sexual themes. Kissing and hugging and romance is okay, however, you may not write anything erotic or suggestive to such.

4. Triggering contents

If you are writing a story that may include triggering content(such as but not limited to abuse, sadism or gore), be sure to include a content warning at the top of the blog. If you are not sure, ask for from a Curator/Leader.

5. Bribery

Attempting to bribe a curator/leader through any means, will lead to immediate disqualification from this contest.

6. Language

Entries must be written in English and use understandable spelling. If your entries are in non-english languages, we will ask you to translate it to English. You are allowed to use Google Translate for this if you have written it in another language; you may NOT, under any circumstance, use AI such as ChatGPT or Deepseek for translating. If you have used generative AI for your writing, Rule 1 will apply.

7. Amino Guidelines

Your entry must follow both our and Amino's [guidelines]. If it does not, we will tell you; if it is a severe breach of our Amino's guidelines, you may be punished.

8. Cover Picture

Entries must have a cover picture. These do not have to be related to the story! This is so that if they're featured, we don't get a blank text wall on the featured page. This cover may NOT be AI. Covers will not count in judging as again, these are purely decorative.
