Hi, My name is [Redacted] and i am 8 years old. I have been here at test site [Redacted] for a while and today is my birthday! Today one of the people in white had given me this device to play with. It seems to be a computer of some kind. All the other options needed s except for the one labeled “Entries” the people in white say that i can use it to type whatever i want on it. Behagidhshehdh hahaha, it’s very fun! Hopefully i can have more gifts soon. This is the first gift i had been given ever, it was just like the stories i had read. The children in the stories usually have families to play with and different looking toys but that’s okay I’m glad i finally have a gift of my own. The people in white had only been giving me tests and shots that hurt alot but since I’m a big boy i can handle it. Maybe Tomorrow.

Hello again computer. Ever since the people in white had been giving me more tests now that i have had you for a while. They say you help to stimulate my head? Brain? I think it was brain. By noting my thoughts it can help my brain a bit and get me used to “technology” which is a big and confusing word I haven’t heard of before. I am unable to spend my time reading my stories since i have to look at the computer or do tests. It makes me a little sad but the people in white say it is necessary.

Today i saw another child like me. The child didn’t look like me though. The child seemed bigger with larger arms which was strange because i looked quite large compared to the children in my stories. His skin was very pale, like the room i stay in. Very white with no color. The child seemed to be watching me before one of the people in white dragged them away. The child didn’t want to go and tried to stay but the more he was dragged away the more he screamed. More people in white kept me inside so I couldn’t see but i had heard him screaming for a while before it suddenly stopped. I don’t know what he did to get in trouble like that but it must have been serious. He also had a large number 7 on his clothes, like me, but my number is 8. Maybe i will see him again tomorrow.

I saw him again. I saw the child. I had not seen him or heard him for a little while and i was a bit worried. The child seemed different though. He didn’t react much and didn’t even acknowledge me when i tried to get his attention. He looked very scary, there were many scars on his body. They looked like some of the ones i have but bigger and he seemed to look less pale which was good, but his skin was still very light. When i looked at his face, his mouth was covered by something and he seemed to be crying. It made me more scared of him. When i asked the people in white about him, they just said he had been very bad and was punished. When i tried to ask more they threatened to do the same so i stopped.

Today i met one of the people in white. They actually told me their name. Dr. Hemlock. The doctor wore a mask that was also white and seemed to be the boss of the other people in white. I also found out that the people in white might be called scientists. Scientist is such a silly word but they told me it meant the people do research in order to make the world better, and that i am helping! That makes me a scientist! I was happy to know i was doing something good with all these tests they gave me, even if they were very hard.

Today Computer i am 10 as of yesterday and i have been able to spend less an less time on you or reading or really anything. As i have gotten older the tests have been getting more difficult and now i have been subjected to physical training. It’s mostly just running, jumping, climbing, etc but for what reason? In the stories i have read the children my age only do work for a few hours a day and it looks very easy compared to what i am doing. According to the scientist my brain and body have been accelerated beyond what children my age are used to, hence my more advanced literature and size. I am standing at up to 5’9 and almost 170lbs. It is unnatural to me but the scientist insist that it is due to all the work i have done. They haven’t wronged me before so i believe them. It still seems a bit strange

These scientists are beginning to scare me. Today these tests were a bit different. They had incorporated weapons. I had never seen or used a weapon but according to the scientist i must learn to wield them if i am to protect myself and others. I asked “protect them from what?” But they just ignored my question. The weapons i used today were a knife and a handgun. The knife was very sharp and i had cut my hand on accident. It strangely hurt but also didn’t? The scientist commented on my “pain threshold” and how it was “comparable to 7s” it reminded me of the boy. I haven’t seen him in a very long time and I’m not sure what happened to him. The gun was very loud and startled me which made me drop it. The scientist told me doing that was very dangerous and i would have to get used to the sound.

Dr. Hemlock told me that i am not the only child here, and neither is the boy that i had seen such a long time ago. He told me that we were special children that were going to stop the “disgusting underworld creatures” and in order to prepare properly, i would have to “train” with the other children. I had met them today and they all seem very…off. The only one who had stood out to me was the 7 boy. It has been almost years since i had last seen him. He was even more different from before. He was larger and scarier. His skin had some more noticeable pigment in it now. He was edgy and aggressive towards the other children and seemed eager to train with them.

I have become incredibly proficient with combat skills and combat techniques. The other children have a much harder time competing with me, it seemed almost natural to fight them. The only ones who had given me a hard time were 7, 9 and 10. 10 was a stocky boy who is very strong, like me and 7. He didn’t seem very aggressive but he seemed to have a very calculated way of fighting. Perhaps it was because he was older and had more experience. 9 was a young girl who was very fast and could overpower me because i would get tired and disoriented trying to spar with her. 7 is just very aggressive and powerful. He has already injured 2 other children. He scares me.

Today i had befriended 10 and 9. They seem kind but very arrogant and sporty. They like to tease the other kids like me and 7 because they are considered better by the scientist. This greatly vexed 7. During training 7 had gone berserk and injured 9 very badly. She had to be taken away and i have not seen her since. The scientist take note of 7s extremely hostile behavior yet they do nothing about it besides lock him in his room for the rest of the day. I hope he begins to calm down

It has been some time since the incident and today i was able to see 9 again since she had recovered enough to train once more. She seemed traumatized by the events and had become a bit depressed. Her and 10 were good friends and he was gone now. 9 started to talk to me more now and she told me about her newfound hatred towards 7. Ever since the event 7 had disappeared and none of the scientist acknowledge his existence anymore, but we knew what happened that day. 9 also told me something strange. While she was in the medical wing, she heard the scientist mention that we were “subjects” apart of an “experiment”. I had heard these words before, but i had no idea it was in reference to us. What was this experiment? I don’t know. It may explain why i am only referred to as a number instead of a name…

Dr. Hemlock introduced me to his assistant, a woman scientist named Dr. Foxglove. She had a big patch of damaged skin on her face. It looked unnatural, i have never seen it before. She ignored me and said “I don’t have time for your prized experiment. Find someone else to do this because you already assigned me to sc-“ she was quickly hushed by the Doctor. She left soon after. What was she going to say? And what did she mean by prized experiment? It sounded good so maybe it’s not all bad. It will be my birthday soon. I am very excited

Hey again computer. A few days ago it was my 13th birthday. For the past few years after i had gotten you, i had began to think about those children in the stories i would read. They had families who looked very friendly, one in particular the scientists had called “mother”. When i asked about if i had a mother, they refused to answer and continued to give me more tests. It’s unfair. The children get mothers but I don’t? Why? Why do the people in white keep the knowledge of my mother hidden from me? It makes me sad. On a more positive note, the people in white had told me i would be receiving another gift like i had when i first got the computer 5 years ago. I hope it is a mother.
