Here we are, very late pictures of costume from last Halloween. I decided to go as Audie Murphy but it can also double as a normal US Army soldier that was in combat in North Africa and Italy. The insignias I have are from 3rd infantry division and were deployed extensively against the Nazis and Italians. Anyways in the second set of pictures, I put on the classic Brodie helmet and removed the 3rd infantry insignias and am posing as an early war 1941 - 42 US Marine. These guys would be seen during the defense of Wake Island, Battle of Midway, and the attack on Pearl Harbor. I also think I did a pretty good job carving and painting the M1 Garand and M1911.
