Ok so basically, I kinda had a flash recently. So what if... Renri & Anri were sisters?! :D
Let me tell you my thought process. I really like the fact that their names rhyme. Idk why, but to me it's so nice & cool when sibilings have names that fits with one another either by being similar, by rhyming with one another, by having a similar theme or just having something in common that links them togheter in some way. It feels cohesive like they belong togheter. Which is exactly how I feel about Anri & Renri's name. So just to check how I feel about it, I made this little edit just to see how they look next to each other.
And I have to it... It works! They kind of have a similar vibe, a similar style. Like when I see them next to each other like that, I see 2 distinct individuals, but they could've grown up together. I like this!
The first time I thought about this, I really liked the idea, but there was one detail that didn't click. One thing I do in my hcs is use the language of their VBs as a metric for what language they can reasonably speak/communicate with. Like I wouldn't ship & put in the same family characters that don't at least share one language in common, that wouldn't make sense. So, well as you know Renri is a Japanese VB & Anri is an English VB... BUT! Now that the cross language synthesis thing exists for AI VBs Anri can now sing in a Japanese that sounds pretty accurate! That means that they DO now share a language. Renri doesn't speak english (she is a std vb which means the cross language synthesis doesn't work for her), but if Anri can speak Japanese, then nothing can stop me from hcing them as sisters anymore! :D So here, have a link for my last sibilings hcs updated version.
