Introduction

Traits are an essential part of progressing through this game. You get more and more slots to fill with traits. These traits give you new abilities or increase your stats.

The Slot System

To gain traits you must have the appropriate amount of trait slots. To gain trait slots you must spend "Trait Points(TP)". For the first 10 traits each slot costs 1 TP. From 21-30 it costs 2 TP per slot. Then 31-40 costs 3 TP, and so on.

Trait Types

There are 5 types of traits:

Normal Traits, which take 1 trait slot and are generally fairly good.

Powerful Traits, which are traits that need 2 trait slots and are best obtained early on and used to base characters off of.

Biological Traits, are the traits that come with biologies and are the main reason you choose the biology that you do.

Final Traits, which are ridiculous traits you can only have 1 of per character and must meet the prerequisites to obtain.

Ascension Traits, also called Ascension Bonuses are bonuses you keep from your previous biologies mostly variations on your past biological traits.

Gaining TP

At the end of all playthroughs 1 TP is given to all participants just for playing. However another 1 TP can be given out if a certain condition chosen by the GM is met. This can be anything from whoever did the best to whoever stayed through the entire session or even whoever did one specific thing. It's up to the GM.
