you've been seeing the staff around a lot

more often, and now we bring you one of

our most beloved events, but with a boon!

quest of titles this time is now permanent to

redeem, so let's show you the prizes!

𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𓂅: REFRESH :hibiscus: 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐞,

if any of you don't what qot is,

this event was a month long challenge where

staff presents a multitude of prompts to

write with a set title attached. we've tried a

few different ways from base to bingo, but

this time we're returning back to base for a

more permanent event for all of you. this

qot is redeemable at any time so long as

you write some stories. We have separated

the prompts into genres for you but they are

not strictly enforced.

the rules are simple and like every challenge

all we ask is that you follow the community

guidelines and proper trigger warning your

post as needed. I don't think it need to be

said but plagiarism is not allowed. Al as well

is highly discouraged. The minimum word

count for entries is 500 words with no max.

All posts should be tagged with #QOTPerm

so they can be counted for titles.

Title: Regretfully Yours

Write a love story that ends with: "I've made a huge mistake."

Title: The Biggest Loser

Write a story about two characters who are opponents on a game show. To make things more interesting, they’ve made a bet. The loser has to go on a date with the winner, wherever the winner wants, in whatever the winner wants. The kicker? Both are secretly trying to lose.

Title: Ill-Omened Love

Write a story about love doomed by the narrative.

Title: Café-Lover

Write about a character who visits a café regularly despite not liking anything about the café, except for that one cute barista.

Title: Bookworm

Write about a character who starts working at a bookstore to be with their crush despite finding books boring.

Title: Fated To Be

Write a story about soulmates, those who are tied together by the red string of fate.

Title: Chaotic Love

Write about a couple attempting to celebrate a birthday, but the plans of one of the characters keep going in the wrong direction.

Contemporary

Title: Happily Never After

Everything is perfect. Until it’s not. Write about a character who had it all, until they didn’t.

Title: Tattooist

It's late on a Friday night and your character is sitting in a dingy walk-in tattoo parlour. The night had certainly been an adventure, but how did they end up in a tattoo shop getting a cartoon dinosaur on their upper arm?

Title: Helpful Paws

Write about a character rescuing a pet. That pet keeps visiting that character until their neighbour adopts that pet.

Fantasy

Title: Steadfast Defender

You're the heir to the kingdom of a mythical race bordering on extinction. You aren't content with being a pretty figurehead for the people to gossip about. No one knows but you're one of the people fighting on the front lines against those killing off your people.

Title: They're Real I Swear

A secret society pursues its manic obsession with finding a unicorn.

Title: Dragon Lord

A dragon is stuck in a cave ever so slightly too small. Your character is the only one able to help.

Title: Faded History

Write about two mythical beings who were once a force to be reckoned with when paired who have since moved on, with one still famous and praised, the other fading away in history.

Sci-fi

Title: Patchwork Prince/Princess

All technology allowing faster-than-light travel has suddenly ceased to work in the entire universe, as if the laws of physics got "patched". Describe the lives of people suddenly stranded thousands of light years from home, cut off from supplies, etc.

Title: Feline Overlord

The galactic federation stopped short. For some strange reason, there were cats taking over the planet.

Title: The Butterfly

Time travel is available to everybody. With everybody changing things things are getting complicated. Your character is witnessing the butterfly effect first hand.

Title: Alien Concept

Alien dignitaries are confused and shocked to discover that, despite being a space faring species, humans do not live in a unified post-scarcity utopia. They demand an explanation.

Thriller

Title: Private Investigator

Every morning at 7:15 am, character A leaves their house. Every morning. Except for the past 3. There’s been nobody leaving the house for the past 3 days. Character B is determined to figure out where they went, and why.

Title: Avatar of Fear

You are the embodiment of one of your greatest fears. The question is will you be the one to rein it in, or inflict it upon the world?
