hiiii everyone it’s abby here! i know i haven’t been active in awhile and i would like to apologize for it. i have created this blog today to explain my reasons for my absence as well as next steps for the community as well as me as the agent. i have already put a disclaimer before the introduction but i will include it here anyways— this blog will be somewhat lengthy so keep in mind there would be a lot to read. also, happy thanksgiving for those that celebrate it!

to start things off in a brief manner, i’ve been heavily inactive because of school. i’m currently taking five college level classes during my junior year which in itself is causing a lot of stress on me. since this year has already amounted to a great 70% of my hiatus, i’ve been forgetting about this app as a whole and i have instead been focusing on my studies as well as other things in general.

in addition to school, i also don’t find myself to be on amino anymore because of the fact it’s dying out. realistically, i saw our community deplete in member activity as time went on and as more people ed, less people were online and actually interacting with the community itself. my attachment towards this app has changed and i even forget about it most of the time these past couple of weeks.

while i do enjoy all the memories i’ve had on amino i do believe that it’s time for me to leave this app since there isn’t much for me to do on here anymore. my interest in editing has died down heavily so i no longer have anything to post, people are barely online so i have no one to talk to as well. however, as i say all of that i really do love everyone in this community and what they have done for me thus far. you’re all amazing and i appreciate you so much!

to jiho, you’re such an amazing person i love you so much as both a friend and a co-leader! you’ve helped me grow as a leader on amino and i approaches your help whenever you try to revive the community— even if your efforts don’t work out. although this might not mean much, i am extremely proud of you and i thank you for all that you’ve done for this community!

to aurora, i know that she left the community a while ago to focus on college and i really do hope that things go well for her. she’s an amazing person and she’s also contributed to this community immensely! she had always came up with thorough ideas, helped with organization as well as planning events and challenges. i miss a lot and i hope she’s doing well— i am also very proud of her for all that she’s done as well as her studies ^^

to current and previous staff, although i haven’t dedicated a paragraph to every single one of you, please know that i do care for all of you the same amount as i do my co-leaders. you’ve helped this community thrive whether it simply be featuring posts, talking a bit in conversations, coming up with ideas, etc. i’m sorry that i could have been a better leader to our newest of the staff team since i couldn’t be there to take care of the community more efficiently. i wish you the best as well!

for the community, i’m honestly not sure what to do with it but i don’t plan on deleting it. this community was founded with the purpose of spreading both positivity as well as sharing experience, memories, and happiness with one another— deleting it wouldn’t do anything but simply remove everything we have built thus far. my status as agent is currently pending— if another staff member is willing to take my place in hopes of keeping this community together, i will gladly hand over my position to them. however, if no one is willing i will simply remain in my position.

at this point you may have already sensed the tone as well as the message of this post including it’s main purpose. i have made this today to say i will be officially leaving amino!! no i didn’t mean to make this post on thanksgiving LMFAOO but it honestly seems quite fitting for the occasion. i give all my utmost thanks to everyone!! i love all of you and i wish you all the best!!
