Ricciardo Ercole Maximilliano de Ticino

This wasn't my first character, but OH this was my baby.

We all have that ONE character that makes us fall in love with our own creation (not in a romantic way, but just in every other possible way). They are your great work. Your magnum opus.

Richard was my opus. I got his name from the screen name I used to use on IRC (RickyTicky) and originally he was a freeform shape shifting vampire who loved to shift into a white ferit and weasel around in other people's pockets without permission.

Eventually, I adapted him and over a span of about 10-12 years (that's in real time) he gained enough XP to become one of the baddest Toreadors you've ever met. He was badass! He wasn't just A rose...he was THEE Rose; capital R. It got to a point where that's how people would ask for him. "Where's the Rose?"

Alas, he had a romantic in game attachment and after many years...we had an OOC falling out. This was almost 2 years ago. I haven't played him since but oh...OH I miss my Ricky. His sheet is way too powerful for entering ANY games now. So I don't try. I would rather retire him than to create him anew. Not after more than a decade of work.

Oh how I miss him, though. Do you guys ever feel that way about your characters?

I feel this way about my first character in the cWoD ever created, Cheveyo "Balls-of-Steel" "Turtle's Child" "Gorgon's Friend" Nestor Hill, nicknamed Sarah by his pack, Felis born Pumonca and honorary female to the Black Fury Tribe. He had a unique way of seeing the world and was very interesting to play. Lived for 5 years in game, ed a pack, became the black fury alpha's child's adoptive father, gained 4th Rank posthumously after sacrificing himself to save his and another pack. Many very different folks, including the whole pumonca tribe showed up to his funeral in the caern founded with his help and many tears were shed.
