Credit to Uneven for the picture!

My two guests today are p0p.

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Welcome to the sixty-fifth Bray Mysterio Podcast guys! Are you ready?

:boy: Tyler :boy: - Ye

:man: p0p :man: - Yeppspspss. Yep

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Alright, first question, how did you get interested in wrestling? And what keeps you from getting bored and losing interest?

:boy: Tyler :boy: - I got into it like almost everyone did. My dad turned it on one day and I was just immediately hooked. But the thing that keeps me interested is that there is always something new. Especially with matches. There will never be a match that was exactly like the other. You can’t repeat a full match. It’s just something that can go on and on without dying

:man: p0p :man: - Same way I did, my cousin got me into it because he would mostly talk about it, then I got into it by watching SmackDown in 2016. I now watch New Japan, which is something I love watching.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Very cool, guys! Next question, what are your thoughts on WWE today?

Bray Mysterio Podcast #65-Hey guys! It's Bray Mysterio Fan and this is the sixty-fifth Bray Mysterio Podcast! Hopefully you a

:boy: Tyler :boy: - I honestly stopped watching WWE except for Mania. I think it’s just because of no fans. The fans create the energy and it just not the same without them there. But as to what Pop said about losing respect; I respect the hell out of both companies for continuing to try and entertain us through these times. Especially when they could be at home with their families

:man: p0p :man: - Here's a short answer, both WWE and AEW have lost my respect for running shows during this pandemic. So not really pleased.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - I see, COVID-19 has halted society and affected many businesses. How do you think this will affect the wrestling business and what can we do about it?

:boy: Tyler :boy: - It’s already affecting the business. My match against Shane Douglas is has been postponed and possibly cancelled. It’s postponing/cancelling a whole bunch of independent wrestling shows and tours.

:man: p0p :man: - Many many shows will be cancelled which will affect the business due to promotions having to close down shows, preventing QUITE a bit of income for them.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Well, hopefully things get better soon. Next question, what are some of your favorite match stipulations, and why?

:boy: Tyler :boy: - I love 2/3 falls matches, 60 minute Ironman matches, and No Disqualification matches. I love everything honestly. But I love watching the technical side of wrestling a lot more than anything. It’s a lost art now. That’s why I love guys like Daniel Bryan, Drew Gulak, Tyson Dux, and Zack Sabre Jr

:man: p0p :man: - Not really into stipulations, but it has to be when a career is on the line, because normally, they put THEIR ALL into it, you can feel the intensity, the emotion, a prime example of this done right was Shawn vs Flair and Shawn vs Taker, you can tell they were trying their hardest. But, it was their time to go. They tried it all but it just wasn't enough and you can feel that.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Those are awesome stipulations! Personally, I enjoy any extreme stipulations, like no disqualification, or falls count anywhere. Next question, what is your favorite wrestling company? And why?

Bray Mysterio Podcast #65-Hey guys! It's Bray Mysterio Fan and this is the sixty-fifth Bray Mysterio Podcast! Hopefully you a

:boy: Tyler :boy: - Ring Of Honor hands out. The current product isn’t the best and it makes me sad that it’s dropped and plateaued. But it’s the Glory Days of Ring Of Honor that made me fall in love with it. I mean back then they had it all. They had wrestling. And I mean actual wrestling. Not this new style that seems way too rehearsed and practiced. But back then, they worked body parts and did storytelling. They had definitive heels and face. Like if you were a heel, you did not like them and that was because of they’re character. And just the way a lot of the guys were. Like when CM Punk won the ROH Championship. There was pure and raw emotion in his speech and then BAM! Heel that is hated by everyone even tho everyone loved his work in the ring

:man: p0p :man: - New Japan, really. I like the paces of the matches, the stories, the characters, and everything about it, whether it be Taguchi getting his ass spanked, to Tanahashi just being the absolute SEXY beast he is, to Okada kicking ass, Naito being Naito and Okada proving himself as the king of New Japan.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Great choices! I don't hear ROH as an answer often enough. Next question, who do you think is an underrated wrestler that deserves more in their career? And why?

:boy: Tyler :boy: - Dean Malenko. Greatest in ring technician in history. He just never had a character and I could never tell if he was face or not. Also Jerry Lynn. Jerry has the ability to wrestle the mat style and then he can get crazy with the sequences. Like him vs. RVD in ECW was amazing. Same with him vs. Steve Corino. But current day, I gotta go with Matt Taven. Not many people see him as a main eventer but has all the ability to be so. Just not a fan of his gear tho

:man: p0p :man: - The entire Junior Division in CHAOS that wasnt Ospreay before Ospreay became a heavyweight. Seriously. Ospreay overshadowed em hard.

Marty Scurll. So. This can be summed up shortly. He only got 15 minutes of fame because he was in The Elite, but now that The Elite is gone, he's simply just, forgotten.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Those are some good answers! It's clear to me that you guys know tons of matches so I must ask, what are some of your favorite wrestling matches of all time? And why?

:boy: Tyler :boy: - There are way too many matches I love. I can’t say I have a favourite. But Samoa Joe Vs. Bryan Danielson is a great one. Samoa Joe Vs. Kenta Kobashi is up there too. CM Punk Vs. Chris Hero in IWA Mid South in that TLC match for the championship was truly something else. And the tribute show the year after where it was Punk Vs. Hero for the IWA Championship in a 2/3 falls match was a masterpiece as well. Kinda slow to start but they went for over an hour

:man: p0p :man: - Okada vs Shibata is the whole cake.

You can tell, Shibata wanted to beat his ass, Shibata wanted that title and fought until his last breath, you can feel the intensity in that match. When Shibata did THAT headbutt? No one knew what happened, it showed Shibata was a warrior and would keep on going until he died.

Kawada vs Misawa (June 1994)

The match was a hard hitting brawl, and told a story of them and it was like they wanted to kill eachother with their moves.

Okada vs Omega Series

As much as I dont like Omega much, he had some UNDENIABLE matches with Okada, with his courage and refusal to be stopped, Omega and Okada truly cemented themselves with those matches.

Steen vs Generico Matches | PWG Steen Wolf/Final Battle 2010

The intensity and the hatred was at a great high, Steen wanted to END Generico, until that fateful chair shot from Generico in their Final Battle match.

For Steen Wolf, Steen wanted to break Generico's back, but Generico still overpowered, fuck the Young Cucks, interfering in Steens way, but the match was great overall.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Amazing answers, guys! Next question, what's your favorite wrestling pay-per-view event of all time? And why?

Bray Mysterio Podcast #65-Hey guys! It's Bray Mysterio Fan and this is the sixty-fifth Bray Mysterio Podcast! Hopefully you a

:boy: Tyler :boy: - For the full on Event, Death Before Dishonor 3 where the main event was CM Punk Vs. Austin Aries for the ROH Championship or Final Battle from 2004 with Samoa Joe Vs. Austin Aries for the title. Both main events were amazing. Or the event where it was Samoa Joe Vs. Kenta Kobashi. That match was insane. Favourite ppv in general is Death Before Dishonor or Final Battle. Both deliver such great matches

:man: p0p :man: - Wrestle Kingdom 14.

Both nights were ABSOLUTELY phenomenal in storytelling, match quality, everything. The 4 man tournament was amazing whether it was Ibushi stiffing Okada and Naito finally having HIS moment of beating Okada, it was absolutely great.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Very great answers. Next question, where do you see the wrestling industry headed in the next 5 to 10 years?

:boy: Tyler :boy: - There’s no surprise that wrestling has changed over the years. From the 70’s style of shoot wrestling to the 90’s of the crazy characters like Macho Man, Hulk Hogan, etc ran the business, to the attitude era, to the Indy style that I love that consisted of the so called “vanilla midgets” who the big meat castles never really saw going anywhere, to the style we watch today with high spot after high spot by trying to get a bigger reaction out of the fans by doing crazy moves like Ricochet does (fuck him btw). Wrestling is going to change. I’m not sure how but I can see it changing in next 10 years

:man: p0p :man: - I have no idea, nor no answer for any of that, but probably in a direction that's in the middle.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - It'll surely change! I'm not sure how but I'll definitely stick around to see it! Next question, what is a storyline in the wrestling world that has stood out to you and really peaked your interest?

:boy: Tyler :boy: - Oooohhhh... One that hit me like a brick has got to be CM Punk in ROH all the way up to departure. He was such a lovable character that everyone loved. His whole battle to top was amazing and they made him up to be the top baby face in the company. Especially when he decided to sign with WWE. Everyone loved him. Not a single person in the crowd boo’d him when he was in that ring. He never cared about have the most defined muscles, he didn’t really have a character that he was trying to be. He was simply just being himself. He was just like everyone. He wasn’t afraid to be who he was and that gave people courage to be themselves. He wanted to be the best. And then when everyone thought he was going to leave ROH without winning the championship, here comes the biggest douche in the universe and Ring of Honor champion, Austin Aries. The pure and raw emotion in the match was amazing. Classic heel just trying to be the greatest wanting to be the guy to kick out the top baby face... Then when Punk won the championship, everyone went crazy. He grabs the mic and delivers this promo that made me feel like I was just betrayed. He turns heel. He signs his WWE contract on the Ring Of Honor Championship. That hit me hard when I first saw it and it’s one of 2 storylines that actually made me believe that wrestling was real

:man: p0p :man: - IT HAS TO BE THIS ONE STORYLINE, PUNK VS CENA.

I find Punk to be overrated, but you can tell in the feud, it was like Punk doesnt give a fuck, Punk talks shit about his employer, even talked about leaving with the title, showing that he wasnt scared against rebelling against the corporation, and exploded the Wrestling World, and guess what? He left with the title, well he didnt, but he showed back up and business wasnt done, until they finally settled it. This is a feud that is one of the greatest feuds I have ever seen, ever and is probably the perfect feud I could ever ask for.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Wow, clearly CM Punk has had some great storylines! Next question, what inspired you to this app? And what are your thoughts on Wrestling Amino?

Bray Mysterio Podcast #65-Hey guys! It's Bray Mysterio Fan and this is the sixty-fifth Bray Mysterio Podcast! Hopefully you a

:boy: Tyler :boy: - I found out about it from one of my exes actually. I ed it a few times and gave up cause I never understood how it worked. But I kept coming back and I’ve been here for like 3 1/2 years but I’ve been banned so many times that this is my last actually so I’m being a good boy and being nice... I feel like there should be more people talking about actual wrestling. Cause all I really see anymore are these leagues and these “Happy Birthday to this wrestler today”. I want to hear people’s opinions on wrestling and what matches are their favourite and who they love to watch and why they love them. Overall 7/10

:man: p0p :man: - I just found it one day, bam. Now I am here. Pretty good hellhole, 9/10.

Discord bests that by just .25 points, NOW IF WRESTLING AMINO TOOK PLACE IN THE TOKYO DOME.... YOU'D BET YOUR ASS IT'D BE 14/10.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Interesting thoughts! I actually completely agree with you guys. I came here from GrimsToyShow. Last question, what is your favorite wrestling moment of all time? And why?

:boy: Tyler :boy: - CM Punk’s last match with ROH or Edge’s return. I know I keep going back to Punk back on the independent scene but he was just that good. He just spoke to me personally that way. If you watch his last entrance with ROH, they played his theme and played that tribute video to him and then had that weird emotional music that he came out to. And then he comes out crying because he knows that WWE isn’t going to be like the fans on ROH, just oh my god. You could tell he was trying his hardest to keep from crying but he couldn’t take it. The raw emotion. His face at that time. Even tho he was a heel, he still high-fived and hugged almost every fan. And the fact that he wrestled his best friend in Colt Cabana? Nothing will ever beat that moment for me. It made me cry. It felt like a part of me died when he left.

And Edge returning is pretty self explanatory. One of if not the top guy in WWE at the time being told he has to retire or he’s going to be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life and then coming back after almost 10 years? It’s just like CM Punk. When his music hit at the rumble and he came out and his face was just... he knew he was home again... the fans make wrestling

:man: p0p :man: - Orange Cassidy destroying Yoshi Hashi's legs with his dangerous kicks during New Beginning in Sapporo

Shawn Micharls being told he doesnt know controversy

Naito and Hiromu having a nice warm coffee while committing many war crimes at the local church

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Those are incredible moments, for sure. But that's almost all my questions, so that's all for the podcast guys! I've honestly had a great time talking to you two, and although this podcast might be the longest one I've ever done, you guys really went into some depths which I really appreciate. I hope you've had a great time! See ya!

:boy: Tyler :boy: - Thank you for having me again Bray!

:man: p0p :man: - This was a great one, best one yet. The best experience I've had, really. Thank you for having me back, this was TOO fun
