Welcome WA to the return of HJH’s Thoughts after a near 3 month hiatus. I’ve been itching to get back into these blogs, but nothing noteworthy enough has happened to give me that push.. until Elimination Chamber, which might have given us one of the most influential & shocking moments we’ve seen in WWE history. So let’s get into it shall we, here’s HJH’s Thoughts on Elimination Chamber 2025.

A Storm is Brewing

HJH’s Thoughts: Vol 4! Elimination Chamber 2025-[IC] Welcome WA to the return of HJH’s Thoughts after a near 3 month hiatus.

We started off the show hot with the Women’s Elimination Chamber starting off with Liv Morgan & Naomi. As soon as the bell rings, drama ensues & the returning Jade Cargill’s music hits, she heads straight for the ring & right into the chamber, while Liv pleads for mercy. Jade heads for Liv but last second turns to Naomi & starts unloading punches on her to a thunderous pop from the crowd. This was a brutal beatdown & I loved every second of it. Jade obviously knows who attacked her, and it wasn’t Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez, the question is; was this attack solely spearheaded by Naomi so she could become a tag champion? Or was Bianca Belair the mastermind behind it all, the finish of the chamber match itself adds to the question as well, as the road to wrestlemania picks up. So lets get into the chamber now.

Bianca = wrESTlemania

I actually really enjoyed this chamber match, quality wise the in-ring action was solid & I think all eliminations were pretty justified with no wacky eliminations like we saw in the men’s (we’ll get to that). The only complaint I have, is this chamber sort of left no direction for a lot of talent in this match headed into Wrestlemania, the likes of Alexa Bliss, Bayley, Roxanne Perez, & even Liv Morgan seem to have sort of no direction as we get closer to Wrestlemania. Bianca Belair ends up winning the whole thing despite watching her tag partner get absolutely murdered by her former tag partner. The build for Bianca seems to be very interesting, where she’s either facing Rhea Ripley or Iyo Sky at Wrestlemania. In all honesty, i’m hoping they find a way to insert Iyo into the match, turning it into a triple threat, that itself could be a MOTY contender. Solid chamber, solid winner, well done WWE.

Tiffy & Trishy

Definitely the most underwhelming match of the night, wasn’t bad by any means but it was just a way to get a cheap Toronto Pop for Trish Stratus, and a way to insert your Women’s champion on the card. There’s not much for me to say here, I believe the Nia/Tiffy story is not entirely over yet, maybe one more rematch between the two on a Smackdown pre-mania, but until then it’ll be interesting to see the Charlotte-Tiffy feud really take off without the distraction of Nia/Candice. Decent match, but this didn’t do much for me.

KO/Sami Forever

HJH’s Thoughts: Vol 4! Elimination Chamber 2025-[IC] Welcome WA to the return of HJH’s Thoughts after a near 3 month hiatus.

Match of The Night right here, Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens went out there & put on a show in front of their home country and it couldn’t have went any better. The perfect amount of “Violent” spots that weren’t just for the sake of being violent, every move being performed had emotion in it & you could feel the emotion & hatred between these two. The dimmed lights gave it a nice touch, Table spots, brutal fisherman busters, a blue thunderbomb onto a barbed wire chair was all I needed to be satisfied. A fun & brutal match where both men were legit trying to murder each other, i absolutely loved it. The ending also being a callback to their NXT Title match all the way back in 2015, when Kevin Owens powerbombed Sami to death on the apron to win the title & take his best friend out. Owens hits some powerbombs & puts Sami out for good, winning the match which THANK GOD KEVIN OWENS HAS WON A PLE MATCH. 🏽 Great match, the right winner, followed up by an even better moment which was..

Legend Killer Returns

HJH’s Thoughts: Vol 4! Elimination Chamber 2025-[IC] Welcome WA to the return of HJH’s Thoughts after a near 3 month hiatus.

KO is literally trying to murder this man Sami Zayn out here, but then you hear the returning Randy Orton’s music hit & a thunderous ovation for the Viper ensues. After KO took him out months ago, Randy is back & he goes straight for Owens, he hits a beautiful RKO & goes into THAT mode. He gives that vicious 2009 Orton look & sets KO up for his famous Punt Kick, which btw when I was a kid I used to think Orton was killing dudes with this punt kick. He goes for the punt but the bitch-ass security gets in the way, putting Randy’s plans to a halt, which sends him into 2009 Randy crashout mode & he hits every single security guard in sight with their own beautiful RKO with their names on it. A great segment & a great way to re-introduce Randy as we head into Wrestlemania 41.

Cena Wins

Now we’re onto the men’s chamber, and I want to like this chamber match, I really do but it just doesn’t really do it for me. I wasn’t expecting a brutal match by any means just due to the ages of the stars in this match, besides Logan Paul, all these guys are 40+ (Rollins is near 40). Something about this match just didn’t really click for me for the majority of it, Drew McIntyre getting rolled up AGAIN just completely turned me away from the match, which set up an attack on Damian Priest causing him to be eliminated as well. I guess that’s the route we’re going for Drew McIntyre at Mania this year, which is unfortunate, i can’t speak for everyone but I don’t wanna see that shit. 1 positive takeaway from this match is that it accomplished what I feel the Women’s match didn’t do, aside from Logan Paul every superstar in this match seems to have a clear direction for Wrestlemania. Drew/Priest, Punk/Rollins/Possibly Reigns, and Cena/Cody. The other thing I really liked was the mini triple threat at the end between Cena/Punk/Rollins, the chemistry was off the charts & I absolutely loved watching Cena/Punk go at it again. Punk eliminates Seth, Seth goes into crashout mode & stomps Punks head into the chamber floor, literally screaming “DIE” at Punk which is CRAZY LMAO. Anyways, Cena takes advantage of a downed Punk & locks in the STF for the win, John Cena is going to Wrestlemania to face Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship; two faces in the main event? Oh no no no, you’re wrong.

“The Final Boss” The Rock’s music hits & out he comes with Travis Scott, which I still don’t know why he was there lmfao. The Rock comes to the ring & tells Cody it’s time to make his decision, handing his soul over to The Rock & becoming HIS champion. Cody gives you the classic incorruptible babyface response & tells him his soul no longer belongs to him, because he gave it to the ring & the fans a long time ago. Cody then follows it up with an UNCENSORED “Go Fuck Yourself” which had me absolutely rolling, because that shit was unexpected as hell :sob: Cody earned a new fan out of me for that one. John Cena hyping the crowd up, laughs at The Rock & goes in to hug Cody. Fantastic camera work here zooms in on Cena’s face mid-hug, as he stares at the rock, giving the good ol’ cut throat motion. Cena’s entire demeanor changes, he pulls back & low-blows Cody in the middle of the ring to an insane reaction. John Cena has turned fucking heel in 2025. As someone who started watching wrestling in 2005, John Cena has been a babyface the ENTIRE TIME, 20 straight years of John Cena being the ultimate good guy, and they finally pulled the trigger on the guys’ retirement tour. Cena beats the absolute dog piss out of Cody, making him bleed as well, all while The Rock & Travis Scott watch, which I still don’t know why he’s there, but fuck it whatever. Absolutely perfect segment & the greatest heel turn i’ve witnessed in Wrestling History, John Cena is a full blown heel, new theme, new promos, new gear? So many questions, it makes me feel like a child again.

Bonus: My GOAT is Back

HJH’s Thoughts: Vol 4! Elimination Chamber 2025-[IC] Welcome WA to the return of HJH’s Thoughts after a near 3 month hiatus.

This past week on NXT I watched my GOAT Jeff Hardy make his return to WWE as apart of the NXTNA Partnership & I couldn’t be happier. The Hardy Boyz aren’t what they used to be sure, but they’re still one of the greatest tag teams of all time historically, and i’ll never complain seeing Jeff Hardy in action. They had a fun match with the NQCC, but to make things even better, they were confronted by my favorite tag team today; the NXT Tag Champs Fraxiom. TNA’s On-Screen GM Santino Marrella came out & made it official; Fraxiom vs The Hardy Boyz for the TNA Tag Team Championships, can the GOATS’ take down the hottest tag team today in Fraxiom? I can’t wait to see them cook, I can’t wait to see more Jeff Hardy back in the WWE, as i’m sure they’ll make a full time return at some point.

And there you have it, those are my thoughts on the Elimination Chamber 2025 PLE. This PPV will be hard to beat for the WWE this year, so many great moments, a true A-Tier PPV this year, which is what the Elimination Chamber should feel like. Interested to see where WWE goes from here, as we inch closer & closer to WrestleMania 41.

Owens/Zayn slapped crazy. It definitely gave me some NXT Vibes. I wish the turned up the lights but didn’t take away from the match overall so I guess that’s good. The good thing about WWE never really doing anything extreme is even when they do and it’s pretty I guess mid idk how else to say it, it’s a huge deal. The ending of the match like you said, call back to their first TakeOver match which is one of my favorite matches in NXT. Seeing how KO completely destroyed him was insane. Banger match and so far best match in WWE.

Cena Turning heel, I felt it was gonna happen but not here and it was shocking. I literally gasped. I had this idea of Cena or Cody turning in the Mania match itself but this works. Scott… why that goober was there idk. Get him outta here idc if he’s gonna get a match. Idgaf. It gonna sucks when you can tell when things will happen because we’ve been watching for so long and we’re in the know but it was shocking but not mind blowing still great but this is something I hope we can look back on in one year and say it aged like fine wine. :wine_glass:

I predicted Cena would actually sell his soul at EC, but did i actually think it was gonna happen? HELL no, 20 years of watching babyface big match John, I never thought they would pull the trigger; but they did & it was perfect.

Can’t say it was bigger than Hogan ing the NWO, but this is definitely a top 3 heel turn of all time, & will likely stay that way for generations.

It’s his final run, I always wanted him to turn heel but I just never thought he would especially considering it’s his final year as a pro wrestler. I mean this is a BOLD turn of events and honestly this is the best time for him to turn. WWE’s Creative right now is undeniable. They’ll do his turn justice. Bro Gonna beat Cody at Mania. Calling it. Wish I could go to Mania. Too bad those prices too damn high. Bitches.

Hulk Hogan’s gotta be the greatest Heel Turn ever right? The stars simply aligned and it was the perfect places and time period. It’s unmatched.
