Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling presents once again their first biggest show of the year Grand Princess. Last year Grand Princess was such an amazing show. Probably the most fun I’ve ever had watching pro wrestling. Besides the fact I was falling asleep during the second to last match lol. Regardless, each match delivered in their own unique way. This will be the third Grand Princess show I ever watch which is wild to say given I barley anything I watched from TJPW in 2023 from June - August I binged all of their 2023 show up to that point. Anyway this intro is already way too long and I’m just blabbering just like I’m continuing to do right now and I should really just stop but I can’t stop typing…. Alright let’s get on with the predictions right now!

Yoppy/Ashida vs Shino/Himawari

Tag Team Match

Yoppy started full time in TJPW back in September if I’m not mistaken while Ashida began on January 4th of this year. While both Himawari & Shino are entering their 3rd year as Pro Wrestlers in TJPW. I adore the team of Hima-Shino! They work so well together and I just love them both as a team. What’s funny is that you can truly say that with any tag team combination on the roster. The run they had in the Tag Team Tournament was very short but exceptional. Seeing how much winning that meant to them and how hard they tried was beautiful. Then you got Yoppy who has made a few appearances before fully ing TJPW has impressed me a lot and I enjoy her work Ashida I hadn’t seen when she came in but she’s someone I’ve gotten behind very quickly and she’s very good at what she does as well with her unique sequences or signature moves throughout the match I’ve never seen. Nonetheless Shino is always on the losing end unfortunately in all these matches and it’s time she gets a big W for her team. I need Shino~San to get the victory for her team on most likely Mifu Ashida. Either that or Yoppy gonna smoke my girl Shino lol. I surely Hope not.

Winners: Himawari & Shino Suzuki

Team Mahiro vs Team Toribami

8-Woman Tag Match

Oh damn man that’s alot of wrestlers there. I feel like it’s pretty simple here. Considering Kaya once again has all the rookies on her team their chances of losing is very high. On the other hand you got Ivy on Mahiro’s team which also means her team could very much lose plus Haruna who somewhat recently returned. The fact you got 3 experienced wrestlers or “veterans” within TJPW I think Mahiro, Haruna, Steele & Kakeru will take this victory.

Winners: Team Mahiro

Team Aja Kong vs Team Yuki Aino

6-Woman Tag Match

Similar to what I said for the Mahiro/Toribami match, depending on which rookie is on what team you can usually tell who’s winning. The fact Aja Kong is teaming with Kamiyu & Wakana, chances are their team is winning. Wakana & Kamiyu teamed up during the Tag Team Tournament and they did very well. So well I fact that Wakana/Kamiyu were able to defeat the former champions in Daisy Monkey. That’s definitely given them a boost as a team and throw Aja Kong in the mix and they a Super Team. Haru & Toga are in the same Rookie class as Wakana and both have done extremely well for themselves in the past year. There’s a chance Wakana could take the fall but considering Toga & Haru are on the same team with Veteran Yuki Aino I just don’t see them getting that win and if they do it’ll be a surprising one for sure.

Winners: Kong, Kamiyu & Wakana

This is a match I’m super excited for! This is going to be such a hilarious match I’m sure of it. I’d be genuinely shocked if I end up feeling whatever about this match but both of these Joshi are so good at what they do. Their comedic timing is always on point. They’re competing for the Step Up championship and winner of this match will go on to defend their title against the winner of Alexis Lee & Matcha over in SetUp pro in Thailand. I really want Raku to win this match. I need her to be happy and become a champion. She recently won the that 24/7 Ironman championship thingy. She was so happy and so sad when she lost it later that same day. She needs a belt. Please! But nonetheless that’s something I don’t think will happen. This is Pom Harajuku’s first championship and seeing her run around with a title is very cute. Either way I’m down with whatever outcome.

Winner: Pom Harajuku

Meiko Satomura vs Yuki Arai

Special Singles Match

If by some miracle someone is ready think who isn’t a fan (yet) of TJPW or Joshi wrestling you might recognize Meiko Satomura who was formerly in WWE. Mainly in NXT UK which is absolutely crazy to say considering she’s in her 50’s? Right? Someone could correct me on that. Nonetheless a few month ago she did announce her retirement in April of 2025. So why not take this opportunity to beat up some young up and comers on your way out lol. Meiko returns to Tokyo Joshi at Grand Princess to face Yuki Arai! Someone who is going to become a full time TJPW Wrestler and this is most definitely one of her toughest challenges to date in her short career. Arai must prove herself to a legend in the Joshi Wrestling World that she has what it takes to go places & asure her that this Joshi Scene is being left in good hands. I might’ve just made that up in my head lol. Anyway, I do expect this to be a pretty competitive match especially on Yuki Arai’s side of things since she’s the one that’s going to be put to the test.

Winner: Meiko Satomura

This is a match that was suppose to happen back in 2022. It must’ve been around the time Willow was getting some sort of push or got signed with AEW, I’m not completely sure but it was ultimately canceled. Now in 2025 the match is back on! And the people are hyped! Willow & Watanabe are in two completely different stages of their careers and have grown so much within the ring and in the eyes of the fans. This match has the potential and most likely be the match of the night. I hate to say this but I do have a pretty set expectation. I’m really excited and I have no doubts in my mind this will be great. I trust both of these girls very much. Willow does work for AEW which means…

Winner: Willow Nightingale

Suzume vs Arisu Endo

International Princess Championship

Tag Team Partners meet in singles action! This is going to be such an awesome match. I don’t not how many Singles matches both of these girls have had against each other. It’s for sure less than five I have to assume. The most recent one was back in December in a TJPW Rush match where they squared off for about 5 minutes with I think it was Suzume picking up the win there. Both of these girls, when I fight got into TJPW it took me a good while to fully get behind both of them and now I’m behind them both as a massive fan. Arisu Endo although for the most part same generation as Miu Watanabe I see Endo as the next Watanabe. Suzume is like the next Mizuki. Each individual brings so much to the table and they’re always so exciting to watch just do their thing. I have no worries about what they’ll be able to accomplish in this match. A match that also has the potential to steal the show. Considering Suzume just recently won this match in January….

Winner: Suzume

Princess Tag Team Championships

There’s so much history within TJPW that is just so well hidden. You really gotta dig deep to find out some very important information. The company is like One Piece, on the surface it looks like a fun goofy adventure but when you really get in the thick of it there’s so much lore and moving pieces that just sucks you in and once you’re in you can’t escape. Misao & Shoko have finally won their first Tag Team Tournament after 5 attempts. As a Tag Team neither have won them but individually once they’ve won with different partners and personas in their careers. It very much seems like a no brainer for Misao/Shoko to win this. You also have to really consider who their opponents are. The team of Maki Itoh & Miyu Yamashita. The current Tag Team Champions and both who are one of the most prominent players in the entire promotion. Taking these two down will be extremely difficult and it would be very shocking if they do succeed in capturing the championship. It would be very much welcomed. Plus Miyu & Maki have declared they’ll be reaching a total of 10 defenses. I mean they’re half way there with 5 already under their belts.

I’ve also seen a people theorize Hyper Misao could potentially turn heel again after 6 years? Going based on some of her apparently desperate looking shenanigans during the Tag Team Tournament. To me it just seemed like her usual tactics. Maybe I have been watching TJPW long enough where I could notice such subtle changes. If that were to happen… well, that’ll lead into my next prediction.

Winner: Maki Itoh & Miyu Yamashita

Mizuki vs Rika Tatsumi

Princess of Princess Championship

It’s absolutely insane to this that 8 years into both their careers in Tokyo Joshi Pro that this is the first Singles meeting between both Mizuki & Rika Tatsumi ever. Like how is that even possible? As I’m writing this specific section I just found that out like 15 minutes ago. This match I feel will be pretty damn special. This is a match that just adds to my enjoyment of their not being traditional Heel & Babyfaces in the company and it’s not needed. Mizuki & Rika both care for each other, love each other & respect each other. The poster for this match is a genuine love letter to Mizuki from Tatsumi. Rika Tatsumi is one of my favorites and Mizuki is as well but Rika Tatsumi is someone who has been very long overdue on becoming a 2x PoP Champion. I think 2019? Might’ve been the last time she held that title. The day Grand Princess takes place is on 3/16/25, that’s Mizuki’a Birthday. And as tradition goes if it’s your birthday you will lose. Normally I’d be against that in TJPW but in this match specially I do have Rika Tatsumi winning the championship. It’s a bold choice considering Mizuki just won this belt on January 4th. Trust me I have an idea that won’t go anywhere. But even without the idea this was going to be my choice regardless.

Like I mentioned, Hyper Misao possibly turning heel would make her stand out in a company with no real heels. Ditching the Tag Team Scene to chase singles gold. And what better opponent than Rika Tatsumi? The one person who helped Hyper Misao return to the good side all those years ago, she’ll try to do it again and ultimately fail and lose the title to Hyper Misao. That would just be a poetic story. That’s something I really doubt would happen because that would mean I’m big brain and I know that ain’t true lol. We’ll see what happens come Saturday Night on Grand Princess. I’m so very much excited for this show.

Winner: Rika Tatsumi
