Recommendation:
This book is a romance YA novel that is aimed for Young Adults (12-18). It's about two 10th graders (16 year Olds) who are in love and have to go through difficult times together and make it out.
The story had a bit of heavy romance and has hints every now and then of sex between some characters.
This book was an easy and would be good if you're just interested in an easy read or something that doesn't take up too much brainpower.

This book does contain abusive and toxic characters. One of the characters is physically abusive towards their family and if that is something that might trigger anything, I would NOT recommend this book to you.
The Characters can be quite toxic towards each other and there is bullying in this book as well.
Personal opinion:
I had a hard time liking these characters. Personally, I found one character appealing throughout the whole book, but I had a hard time with the rest of the characters. The story line was somewhat bland, there wasn't much going on but once something ended another thing started, such as an arguement might have ended but a different argument starts after. There wasn't much of a clear plot, just a show into the life of these characters lives. The ending I personally didn't like for multiple reasons (will be in the spoiler section).
This book was an easy read for me, I would read it again if I wanted to get out of a reading slump.

Personally I just wasn't a fan :( I loved Fangirl though
I liked the book well enough, but honestly Fangirl has been my favorite of hers thus far. You might also like Carry On if you haven't read it yet. I heard a lot of people enjoy that one! :)
I'm a little bit hesitant with Carry on, because I feel like i need to read someone else's story before I can read it since it is fanfiction.
I read this a while ago and did struggle to get through it plot wise but please please don't give up on the author. She has written some very good books, in particular fangirl and attachments so I really would advise trying I'm of those first before judging the author
I haven't given up on her. I read Fangirl and that was really really good in my opinion :)
I've read it and Eleanor was a hard character to read but shd came from a hard background and clearly wanted to be better but also wanted to protect herself. Her way of coping wasn't always the best but she's a teenage girl in a tough situation.
Yeah I did understand that about the story. She was only in 10th grade and was going through a hard time, but I had beef with majority of the characters. :joy: :joy: I had a hard time liking a lot of the characters.
