“Why do we suck so bad at Cuphead?!” I yell in despair.

There’s nothing that shatters your hope more than failing at the same boss in Cuphead over 7 times. And I’m well aware that this game is about a year old but that doesn’t stop me from playing it. Take Team Fortress 2 for example; that game will never die.

Anyways, it’s 4:35 PM on a Friday and I’m at school with Oka, Mei, and of course, Nona. We’re chilling in the gaming lounge and getting salty over Cuphead because let’s face it: that game is HARD! We’re doing this to see how well Nona can operate an Xbox controller. Turns out that operating the controller wasn’t the problem. It was her sh*t hand-eye coordination. That nobody can see of course.

“We?! You don’t die until you’re AN INCH AWAY from defeating the boss! You’ve out performed all of us!” Nona calls out from my phone’s speaker.

“Well to be fair I HAVE been playing this game for a week. And I play a lot of horror games to help with my awareness. I’ve been playing video games for most of my life. It doesn’t really surprise me considering you guys don’t usually get to play games all the time. For various reasons.” I point out to them.

“I think I’ve had enough Cuphead for one day. I don’t want to see that princess’s b*tch face ever again.” Oka exclaims.

I concurred that we should stop before one of us throws a controller at the TV. So I packed it all up and to home we went. I waved Mei goodbye as our path to home was split. When I got home I caught my older sister attempting to cook something in the kitchen; I think it was a calzone. Now I know I’m not the smartest person there is when it comes to cooking, but I know for a fact that calzones are not supposed to be black.

Did I mention that my sister wasn’t ever really good at cooking? No? Well it wasn’t important anyway.

I tried resisting the urge to mock her.

“That actually looks pretty good. Great job Kana!” I tell her as I walk upstairs.

“Really?” She asks.

I couldn’t resist. It was a pathetic attempt.

“HELL NO!” I laugh as I walk back up the stairs.

“Hmph! You’re so mean Jake!” Kana shouts.

If you’re looking for a story with incest in it, then get the hell out of here. We’re siblings and that’s all we’ll ever be. Mocking each other is pretty much how things work around here. That’s why I never play Cuphead when she’s in the house. I don’t want her on the floor laughing when I’m on the floor yelling in anger over how stupid it gets when the zeppelin turns into a moon.

I’m just trying to wrap my head around all the hell that happened this weekend. Everything went straight to hell (which is where the girl who poisoned Nona is I assume) the moment I gave Oka my phone. I let her borrow it for ONE MOMENT and what’s the first thing her instincts tell her? Throw it off the side of a damn bridge! And with all that’s happened so far, let’s just say she’s very very sorry. Nona made sure of that.
