Welcome to a new plot idea. From an area that I haven't tried yet but still. Hopefully I have some interesting ideas. However, I have a few missing puzzle pieces. which we best fill together. As these cover your character's motivations and actions. Like reason why you get entangled with everyone.
The plot would be about that. That a kind of cult has taken root in an old monastery/temple of the old faith. After they got their greedy and manipulative hands on one of the last living Unholy Spirit. An ancient and once powerful species. who had made it their task. To help mortals live a better life in harmony with nature and even if the cult continues to use the being's abilities for similar purposes. This comes, of course with a small fee. Which should be paid monthly. As well as a handful of conditions. Because you don't want the creature's anger to harm you or your loved ones. or make you even guilty for the end of the world. It is also important and recommended that you or someone doesn't ask too many questions. Especially when it is the words of the father of the enlightened. Because he and only he not only speaks for all the enlightened but also speaks in the name of the spirit. To on his words to the enlightened and the unbelievers so that they may have the opportunity to ascend.
