The PTMN is Young Adult Literature’s monthly, community newsletter for writers and bibliophiles. The first edition will begin January 1st 2019 and continue on the first of each month.

How it works
of the newsletter will choose one (or more) of the roles they will like to complete. They will then create a post following the guidelines of that role. Drafts for the post are due a day before the first of the month and will be sent into the newsletter group chat via screenshots for editing and constructive criticism by other of the group.
The roles are:
Reading/Writing Tipper
This member gives tips on writing and/or reading each month. For example they may create a post about tips for finding the best books, or tips for writing a good climax, etc.
Creative Writer
This member will post their own personal creative writing. They may decide to post poetry, short stories and more. , it doesn’t have to be written on the spot; old pieces of writing can be used. This is also true for the example post in the application.
YA Reviewer
The YA Reviewer’s job is to write an in-depth review of a novel, making sure to include everything the story accomplished, as well as some of its downfalls.
Theme-writer
The job of Theme-writer is to come up with a monthly concept/theme (separate from theme-artist), then in a post, announce the theme and create at least five writing prompts for to follow under that theme.
Informer
Create an informative wiki to be featured in the catalog. The wiki post can be explaining a poetry form, writing form, genre, sub-genre, author, or anything else you can think of.

There are no requirements for who can apply. It doesn’t matter if you’ve just ed and/or have a currently low activity level. However, if you’re accepted, you’d be expected to put time into your portion of the newsletter. To apply, fill out the questions in as much detail as you can (the questions can be found in the comment section) and either send them to me (Lynx) or post it in a blog post (whichever works best for you). For any questions, feel free to comment below or message me personally!

Application
Keep in mind, the first two questions are to inform other of the group how they should refer to you.
Name/Alias/nickname?
Preferred pronoun(s)?
Age?
Time Zone?
How much time will you be able to dedicate to the newsletter?
How well can you take constructive criticism?
Why would you like to the monthly newsletter?
Do you write/read frequently?
Which role would you like to apply for? You can choose more than one, but keep in mind, it will be twice the work.
