Different Universe

Kaori's POV

"Kousei?"

"Where are you?" I shouted far into the distance.

It was like a dream.

My memory was foggy and my vision was blury.

There was no one in sight.

Nothing was to be seen other than big gaping space and pure sunlight.

As I looked around I noticed my vision getting worse with every step I took. My head got heavier and heavier.

Before I knew it, I had collapsed to the floor.

I was dizzy and in pain.

Looking up I could see a tall figure walking towards my direction.

That was when I immediately recognized the shape of the person. The dark thick rimmed glasses along with the dark shaggy hair.

"K-Kousei!" I stuttered.

Tears slowly escaped my eyes and made their way down my face.

I quickly got up, ignoring the pain and ran towards him. I stopped when I realized something was wrong.

He had a confused look on his face.

"Kaori...?" He asked as tears started to form in his eyes.

"I'm right here!" I responded almost instantly.

But he couldn't see me.

He slowly raised his left hand up to see where I was. I did the same thing and our fingertips almost touched when a familiar voice interrupted.

"Kousei? What are you doing?"

He was hesitant, but pulled back to look away.

"I thought I heard someone call my name. Guess I was just hearing things." He said disappointed as he walked away.

"Wait! I'm still here!" I panicked.

"Don't leave me!"

"Please... I don't want to be alone anymore..."

He couldn't hear me anymore.

That was when I realized we were no longer in the same place.

I was above him.

He and I were in different universes.

It's been a while since I've written a story aha...
