What YLIA meant to me, and it still does...

Hi Everyone!

Wow, It’s been ages since I last posted something on this community. If you are reading this, thank you for being on this post, and for still being on this Amino. Most likely you don’t know me, most of the people I used to hang out with are no longer in this Amino (I think), but I wanted to talk about how YLIA made me feel.

I watched Your Lie In April around 2016 - 2017 , I was still in college by then. At that time , I didn’t watch that many animes, mostly the usual shonen with lots of stylish fights and stuff, so when I stumbled upon YLIA, I was in awe.

Everything about the show: the music, the style, the animation, the story, the characters, it was just perfection to me, never in my life I had watched something so beautiful, so bright, and at the same time… so sad.

It was a whole rollercoaster of emotions, even while I’m writing this I’m listening to the YLIA OST and that is enough to make my eyes teary, that is how meaningful and impactful this show was to me.

The ending broke me inside, I just couldn’t stop myself from crying, but at the same time, seeing how Kousei kept moving forward, full of hope, was enough to make me smile. A part of him died, but a new Kousei was born.

After watching the show, a few months later I entered this Amino. I wanted to talk with someone about what I just witnessed. It wasn’t just watching a show, it was a more memorable event in my life.

Upon arriving here, an immediate smile got on my face, seeing so many people, posting their thoughts and feelings of the show, posting images, drawings (all of them are beautiful), and as expected, many Kaoris and Kouseis all around xD.

I’ve met many amazing people, we participated in many different activities within the community. I’ve always had trouble interacting with people, I’ve always been really introverted and shy, but the time I spent here with everyone is invaluable to me, and will forever be with me in my memory and my heart.

That’s why I’m here, after all these years of absence, those memories bring me back to this community once in a while, seeing how things are doing, because even if I was never a very active member, I love this community.

I’m glad to see that some of you are still hanging around here.

No matter what happens to the community, it doesn’t matter if nobody logs in for days, weeks, months or years, as long as this community exists, feel free to come by and hang around a little bit. I’ll be hanging around from time to time so, if you like: let’s chat, let’s talk about the show once again, let’s share our favorite songs from the show, if you have a drawing feel free to share it with us as well. Let’s hang out all together in a group chat or share our thoughts in a post.

YLIA led us to this community, and even if I never get the chance to talk to you, I’m just glad that you came here, that you wanted to hang around in this community, and that you loved the show.

Thank you so much for reaching out this far in the post, thank you for reading the words of this old timer filled with nostalgia (I’m 30 years old xd), and thank you for being in this community.

I don’t want to leave you with just all my yapping xd so I want to share something that I wrote back in the day: a kind of fanfic I wrote that takes place several years after the events of YLIA (maybe not that much but I’ll leave it to your interpretation xd). I’m not good with words and I’m not a writer either, but I hope you like it :3.
