Even bringing up being possessed they must have skipped a lot of the story to get to this, though if thats the case why do the rest seem so surprised by possessed duelist?
It really shouldn't be surprised if Jesse has already been possessed before this....

Actually, in Syrus' dialogue he mentions the duel, along with the statement, "How could I have forgotten that?"
So, with Jesse's statement of, "Don't you what happened in the other dimension?" and Syrus' comment: Duel Links happens AFTER season three!

I know, right? It's insane, but this is our reality! I'm not sure where we are in the DM world, but I do know that it's after Season 2. But at least we're establishing a timeline, and hopefully we'll get more information soon!
