The Semi-aquatic Forest Dwellers | Title Challenge Entry

This is my very first title challenge I'm participating in. This is the #BuildASociety so today I present:

The Laiken

                        Part 1: the species

The Laiken are semi-aquatic canines with an acute sense of smell, to find mushrooms.

Their fur is waterproof, allowing them to glide in water. The males have a thick mane which makes it difficult to puncture their neck.

An adult can be around 5 feet tall and weigh around 100 lbs.

The color of the fur can range from shades of brown, tan, creme, black, and white. There's four different color patterns a Laiken can have.

If a Laiken has a marking, that is their occupation. If the mark is absent then they don't have an occupation.

The most common occupation is the hunters and mushroom gatherers. A hunter gains a special ability when they come of age, at night they can change their form to become stronger and faster.

                    Part 2: the environment

The Laiken reside somewhere in the Damel Forest (Breath of the Wild). The trees are used by hunters as outposts to spot water buffalo, goats, or any monsters that might get too close to the village. Gatherers can find and pick mushrooms used for trade and medicine. The rivers host fish that the Laiken can also catch.

                         Part 3: the village

The village is run by a chief who lives in a giant tree, the healer also lives in the same tree.

The other villagers live in stick huts with leaf roofs. Some bigger huts will contain shops. The village is protected by guards who will defeat any monster that were able to sneak by the hunter's outposts. The Laiken are a friendly race, unfortunately they don't get many visitors because some races are scared of them.

Yes there are unused sketches, but I'll probably use them later, maybe.
