I got this northbooks dotted notebook off of Amazon for really cheap. It has 45 pages (as in 45 pieces of paper, so 90 front and back) and a soft cardboard cover.
Reasons it's good for a beginner:
•It's less of an investment than the LT or other "nicer" bujos. I've seen a few prices, but always less than $10
•Just as good if not better paper quality. Those last two demonstrate how even regular sharpie and Crayola markers barely even ghosted, when sharpie is well known to bleed.
•The cardboard cover allows for customization and doodles!
•Less pages means less stress. If you make a mistake, at least this journal will only be around for a few months, so you can really get your footing in what spreads you like/need/actually use before you get a "real" bullet journal (although I'm considering switching back to these after my LT, they're really a treat).
