I like the art people make with oil pastels but I've never tried them.
I like them but it-ably u have to use a certain styled or they go a bit cakey but I prefer them to charcoal because I smudge charcoal too easily
I only tried oil pastels as a kid and never really liked them at that time. Being as they were all scratchy and used to build up. But I plan on trying them out again sometime since I've seen some beautiful artwork made with oil pastels.
I prefer chalk pastels over oils just because I prefer working with Charcoal and substances similar and I find the easy to blend of you give them the time and you really learn what technique works for you.
I really like them and I love how they blend so boldly, kind of like the paint of crayons, but they can give a scratchy effect and transfer quite, but not to easily. But they blend very nicely. I love how it feels wen you use your fingers to blend the :heart_eyes: :heart_eyes: :heart_eyes: so smooth and soft...
