Decades Challenge «The 1890s» || Chapter 0: Prologue

Hey! Welcome to a new blog! (Finally :weary: )

It's been a while since my last post (NSB), I tried everything I could, but there was no way to save the savefile, so obviously, I won't post it anymore, unless I get the motivation to start it again :(

This is actually my fourth time starting this challenge, I always get bored, but I'm determined to finish it this time :joy: So I thought of creating an interesting backstory and also create a storyline as I play, because even though I like to add some drama to my families, I never really make a story for any of them (nothing too complicated, although I did try in my NSB Challenge).

The Characters

Katherine Gardner (1868)

She comes from a wealthy family, she's always got what she needed to live and even more. She's used to having someone do the hard work, although she's been taught to care for children, how to cook and sew, and other women related things from the era.

She's a young woman who loves children and spending time with her family, although they may not always agree on certain topics. Marriage has always been an important part of her life, she's always known that she'd have to marry a wealthy man eventually, for the money, and not for love.

She met Edward, a young lower class man, from the countryside. They secretly became friends and eventually started dating. His family knew about her and they liked her (not only for the money), because she was kind and she truly loved Edward.

Edward Mason (1865)

Edward comes from a poor family. He's had to work since he was a kid and he's always wished to live in the city, own a successful business and not have to worry about money ever again.

He doesn't exactly love children, but he wants to have at least one or two just for the sake of having a family.

He met Katherine and they fell in love regardless of the money. He was scared, but still asked her to marry him, and she said yes! She gave him some presents, like clothes and some money to buy a small cottage.

They are now engaged and live in the cottage. Katherine's family is really angry at her for wanting to marry a poor man, they tried to convince her to stay, but she didn't, so they disinherited her.

So this is where this story starts. They are now living in a small cottage without barely any money, and not able to afford a wedding, thus not able to have children yet.

I'm really excited about this challenge and I really hope I can actually finish it this time! So I'll try to post a weekly episode, but it all depends on the time I have and if I have enough screenshots.
