I am here to address posts and rants. Now this isn’t a bad thing to have, however, we’ve been seeing a few complaints and statements about supposedly not being able to share their opinion about the community for better or worse.

The s here never said anything of the sort. So it certainly stemmed from a few here, or it was just instilled in them from another community. Outside of here, there are s that actually abuse their powers and ban their for having a negative view on them or the community. We don’t do that, that would defeat the purpose of having a form in the first place.

The and rant posts are allowed, and at one point had a section to themselves. However, seemed to have misused that section and placed their art there for criticism.

there are hashtags to use for criticism on your art, writing, animations, crafts, and more.

So it would seem that because of this mistake and possibly not knowing that section existed, it was assumed that we did not want anything negative floating around the community.

No place is perfect and there is always room for improvements, it makes no sense to completely disregard criticism. Just there is a difference between constructive criticism and insults.

Also keep in mind that there some things we physically cannot fix like glitches and bugs, and other things that can be fixed by you guys, such as featuring. If you only suggest art, that’s all you’ll see on the feature board.

Featuring

Now there is a way to have your rant post featured, however it should meet the following requirements:

Nicely Written

Just as PSAs should be appealing, rant posts should as well. This means it should have a cover photo at the very least, followed by organized typing. No need to be fancy with centers and italics, but it would be appreciated.

Constructive

When giving a person constructive criticism on their art, you’re trying to be polite while telling them how to fix things. This is pretty much the same thing, just that it’s about the community.

Provides Suggestions And Solutions

If you believe you’ve come up with a good solution, or maybe even more, feel free to share. We are always listening, but we cannot make forms everyday as it becomes a chore.

Grammar

We have to be able to understand majority of what you’re writing. If we cannot understand it, then t is likely that a good portion of the community doesn’t understand it either.

With all this being said, we hope to see well written rant posts that deserve a feature for your peers to comment on. We do respond and comment on rant posts if there is something we feel that should be explained. So don’t worry if you see that a commented on it, they’re probably just explaining something.
