I wanted to post this tomorrow but realized I said I would post it tonight haha commitments :triumph: here’s my review!

price:

I got these on amazon for $15 cad. that’s around 1.10? per pen (I just calculated it in my head I’m probably wrong) which is actually really cheap and even cheaper if you live in America since the prices would be even lower.

colours:

overall, I actually really like the colour selection of these pens. they give you colours that you actually need(in my opinion) they’re not too pigmented, but I like that better. they remind me of the muji pens.

smudging:

when writing lines of stuff in a notebook, they don’t smudge at all which is great! as you can see 1 and 5 seconds didn’t do too well. but I think that’s normal for gel pens. by ten seconds there was barely any smudging and 15 there was none.

as for highlighting, the pilot juice pens FAILED. I was pretty disappointed. however it doesn’t really bother me since I prefer underlining, and when I do highlight, I highlight first and then write with pen on top.

ink flow:

when you start writing, it’s takes about 3mm or so for the ink to start coming out(idk if that’s good or bad :/) for people who write with their pens straight up this is great for you haha//and for those who write slanted—probably the majority—the flow is still really good.

overall, the grip is comfortable, it comes with a lot of ink(I’ve seen pens where only half the barrel is filled with ink) and they’re really affordable and good quality.

rating-9/10

hope this helped! I really recommend these pilot juice pens. :heartbeat: :heartbeat:

Do you use this type pen for everything in your bucket journal or do you use a mixture of different pens/ highlighters?

I love pens! I really like this brand too, I have some of their metallics and they really pop.

Haha it's "jumped" over the lazy dog. So cute haha

Can you also do like a smudge test when you highlight over it???

These two are the only gel pens I've found so far that don't smudge when highlighting. But you have to give it a few seconds to set first. But mainly I use Faber Castell Pitt Artist fine liners in my layouts and stuff that I would likely highlight over. I use gel pens for writing where I don't highlight over often. I also find that it depends on the highlighter. If it's a wetter consistency then these two gel pens still smudge.
