My two guests today are EmpireBoy & Tyler Nevermore.

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Welcome to the seventy-first Bray Mysterio Podcast guys! Are you ready?

:man: Tyler :man: - I’m on podcast #71?

:boy: Empire :boy: - Guess we both are

:man: Tyler :man: - Oh hell yeah

:boy: Empire :boy: - All good man

:man: Tyler :man: - Shut up

:boy: Empire :boy: - No u

:man: Tyler :man: - fuck

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Alright, first question, how did you get into wrestling and what keeps you from getting bored and losing interest?

:boy: Empire :boy: - The way I got into wrestling is kinda weird imo but I don’t know if that’s the word to describe it. I knew about wrestling and got into when my friend was really into it. I was in 4th grade at the time. Time ed and we both lost interest and stopped watching, this was until a few years later I was just sitting in the library and decided to look up wrestling. I saw they had a tape of some guy named Sheamus, I decided screw it and put a hold on it. Watched it on my computer and just something about the storytelling, physicality and just the whole idea made me love it. I will it, sometimes I find it challenging to stay into wrestling, but what keeps me coming back is that even if one company is bad, there’s always another. Not just in of business and shows, but wrestlers, their abilities, their stories. The characters, the fighting, all of it just sucks me in.

:man: Tyler :man: - Let me tell you why that is bullshit... Although the beginning may be correct but that second part is not. He got back into wrestling big time because of me. This is actually how we met. Almost 5 years ago, I held a WWE 2k15 wrestling tournament on an app called iFunny. I made a sign up post. He just so happened to sign up. I also put myself in the tournament as Sami Zayn (he was Ambrose). Since I was like 14-15, I was rigging the tournament by actually playing. I lost to Kane in the first match. And I played as Ambrose in the finals against Rollins for some shit and won. And since then, I got him a lot more into wrestling.

:boy: Empire :boy: - I wouldn’t have been involved in the ifunny tournament if I didn’t get the dvd/back into wrestling

:man: Tyler :man: - Anyways I got into it when my dad watched it. I was like 4-5 I think. But my sister and I started wrestling each other and my dad was like “nope” and turned it off. But I started watching again in like 2011 or 2012 I think. But the reason why I continue to watch it is because their’s always something new. Unlike tv shows or movies with a limited amount characters, there are constantly new faces and helps bring in new stuff

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Fabulous answers, guys! Next question, what are your thoughts on WWE today?

Bray Mysterio Podcast #71-Hey guys! It's Bray Mysterio Fiend and this is the seventy-first Bray Mysterio Podcast! Hopefully y

:boy: Empire :boy: - I’m super tired of it. To be fully honest I haven’t watched wwe in quite awhile. I became frustrated with the product, talent not being utilized, scripts were bad and I was just all around disappointed. From what I’ve heard currently, it seems they are going back to relying on older talent instead of building new ones up, which go them to the low rating before... I don’t know for sure though

:man: Tyler :man: - I honestly have no idea what’s going on in WWE rn. I haven’t watched it since Mania so I can’t really say anything unfortunately

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - I see, WWE has been declining in quality. Hopefully they fix that soon! Next question, who's your favorite wrestler of all time, and why?

Bray Mysterio Podcast #71-Hey guys! It's Bray Mysterio Fiend and this is the seventy-first Bray Mysterio Podcast! Hopefully y

:boy: Empire :boy: - This is actually kinda tough. I honestly am gonna go Chris Jericho. He’s such a great performer on the mic and in the ring. He gets creative with his promos, I don’t think there’s time where I’ve been disappoint in his character abailty. He’s also managed to stay relevant and up to par in the ring

:man: Tyler :man: - ‘AMERICAN DRAGON’ BRYAN MOTHER FUCKIN DANIELSON. I chose him cause he’s an actual wrestler. And I don’t say that to insult other wrestlers. But he is an actual wrestler and not a worker/entertainer. He never did that many high spots. He was always focused on the technical side of wrestling. And with him being his size, it was always interesting to see him wrestle guys like Samoa Joe and Takeshi Morishima. He always still kept to the grappling side which I really appreciate. And his heel work was amazing. He could get anyone to hate him. And when he was a face, everyone loved him. There’s literally nothing bad about him. Watch his matches with Nigel McGuinness. Just the greatest matches ever

:boy: Empire :boy: - Those are some classic matches

:man: Tyler :man: - I forced you to watch one. Watch the other 2

:boy: Empire :boy: - Worth it. Who says I haven’t already watched them🤔

:man: Tyler :man: - It’s obviously you fucking goon. You would’ve told me. Plus you haven’t even caught up on AEW

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Great choices! My favorite is Rey Mysterio. Next question, what is your favorite wrestling company, and why?

Bray Mysterio Podcast #71-Hey guys! It's Bray Mysterio Fiend and this is the seventy-first Bray Mysterio Podcast! Hopefully y

:boy: Empire :boy: - For me it’s NJPW, I love the diverse style they have along with their hard hittingness (not a word but cool) I really enjoy how they have promos after the matches, that a long with the way the crowd is there it makes it so wrestlers can really tell a story and get their personality out there. I also really enjoy how open they are to other languages, you don’t need to speak Japanese to enjoy the show. They also have a huge array of talent and are still rising. You have guys like Tanahashi, GETO, Jay White, Okada. And even more. I also really like how they not only have, but properly utilize different weight classes. The last point I’m going to mention is the Young Lions. While other companies have their school and training, it really seems that NJPW doesn’t just teach you to wrestle and be good on the mic, but what it means to be a wrestler. The respect you need to have for the sport and those involved

:man: Tyler :man: - I say it every time. Ring Of Honor. Especially back in the glory days. There is a reason it’s called that. It had talent like Bryan Danielson, Samoa Joe, CM Punk, Austin Aries, etc... They put on the greatest matches ever. Even with their heels and faces. You knew who to cheer for and boo. Back then, when someone was a heel, they got boo’d. And they were boo’d cause they were assholes. Not because they were bad wrestlers. Look at CM Punk and Austin Aries. Both where the companies top heels at one point but they were some of the best talent the company had ever had. I also really enjoyed TNA when Robert Roode was there. From the beginning of TNA to like 2017. That was my time frame of when I watched it anyways

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Amazing choices! I watch ROH but I'll need to watch their older matches. As for NJPW, I haven't watched anything by them but I hear their name all the time! Next question, what is a storyline in the wrestling world that has stood out to you and really peaked your interest?

:boy: Empire :boy: - It may not be the greatest feud of all time, however the shield breaking up is a feud that really sticks out to me. It was one of the first big feuds I saw when I got back into wrestling. Their debut, time building up with how close they were, how they were really like brothers and the build up leading to the break up, thinking it may be Ambrose, may be Reigns...and then Rollins turned his back and beat them with a chair, the look on Ambroses face just looked so genuine to me, I didn’t know that much about them at the time, but it just sold me, I felt angry, I felt real emotion. Than the continued feud, so much went down between them, so much hatred and anger and betrayal. That feud made me want to tune into wwe, its what made me want to wrestle, and it’s why I attended my first live show (to see Ambrose kick Seths ass, although it didn’t happen) I was waiting for Ambrose to get his revenge. On top of the that, he didn’t just turn once, he cashed in on the greasiest stage of them all, once again betraying his “brothers”. One point that really stuck out to me was when Dean cue stomped Seths head through the cinder-blocks, just god damn. He did it with so much force, it just looked so beautiful...but still, Rollins managed to wiggle his way out time and time again. And then it finally happened, Dean won the MITB. I knew it would happen and I couldn’t wait, I thought it wouldn’t be right away. But was I wrong, Rollins vs Reigns, Rollins did it again and got the victory, but there was Dean with the briefcase right in the face of Seth. That moment felt so surreal to me, it finally happened, finally my favorite wrestler (at the time) did it, he fucking did it. I know it didn’t fully end there, but that was the climax that I needed

:man: Tyler :man: - A single storyline... hmmm... I’d have to go with Punk’s departure from Ring Of Honor. I love how he was brought up to be one of if not the top guy in ROH and then him finally deciding to sign with WWE. The crowd was so sad about him leaving cause he stood out to them. Not because he did crazy moves or anything like that, but because he was relatable. And the fact that he had never won the ROH Championship before was the craziest thing ever. Then out comes Austin Aries being the heel that he is and challenges Punk cause he wants to be the guy to kick the top guy out and prove to everyone that he is the greatest man that ever lived. And since he was leaving, not many people thought that he was going to win. But back then, wrestling was so different. Anything could happen. And he won. He won the championship in his final days as a ROH superstar. Everyone went crazy. That was until he grabbed the mic and turned on everyone. And I’m the following weeks, he signed his WWE contract ON the ROH title and still defended it. But the really kicker was his last match... The pure and raw emotion in that man’s face during his entrance just showed how much ion he had for not just Ring Of Honor but for Wrestling in a whole. That one is easily the one that stood out the most. I’ve never seen anyone capture the hearts of the fans like Punk did in ROH

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - The Shield feud is one of the best in recent history. As for that ROH one, that sounds amazing. Next question, what's your favorite wrestling pay-per-view event of all time, and why?

Bray Mysterio Podcast #71-Hey guys! It's Bray Mysterio Fiend and this is the seventy-first Bray Mysterio Podcast! Hopefully y

:boy: Empire :boy: - For me it’s really a pic between the royal rumble and war of worlds. I really like the unexpected part of the rumble where anyone can come out, old, current or even new to the company. I also really like seeing the creative ways people stay in or avoid going in the match. For War of Worlds I personally like the fact that it’s ROH vs NJPW, it’s also the only ROH show I saw live (as of now at least) they seem to always have great matches, both between those just in ROH or between ROH and NJPW. Death before dishonor and Final Battle are also super valid shows

:man: Tyler :man: - For me, it’s gotta be Death Before Dishonor (3 being the best imo) or Final Battle. ROH some how always puts on the most intense matches at those 2 events. Like Steen Vs. Generico, Samoa Joe Vs. Austin Aries. Always delivers on top quality matches

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Those are some great choices! I hear the Royal Rumble a lot. Next question, what are some of your favorite wrestling moves, and why?

Bray Mysterio Podcast #71-Hey guys! It's Bray Mysterio Fiend and this is the seventy-first Bray Mysterio Podcast! Hopefully y

:man: Tyler :man: - My all time favourite move is a piledriver. Something about it is always so satisfying to watch. And when I mean piledriver, I mean all piledrivers. But my all time favourite is the Cradle Piledriver. Just looks so nasty cause there’s the extra force being driven down and unlike a normal one where someone can sell a lot of different ways, this one forces you to go to one side which to me makes it look that much more devastating. I also really enjoy a lot of submission moves. My top 3 favourite being Cattle Mutilation, Crossface, and the Anaconda Vice. But as far as strikes go, Daniel Bryan’s running knee. So kick ass to see people take it. But all time favourite is the Cradle Piledriver

:boy: Empire :boy: - Idk why, but my favorite move is the suplex.

:man: Tyler :man: - You’re favourite move is a suplex? Hold on, out of all the moves, you chose a Suplex? You could’ve chose literally any move

:boy: Empire :boy: - If I had to chose, I’d say just the regular one. It’s so basic but there are so many ways you can hit it...you can snap it, hold it, do it from the top rope, on the apron, off the apron, over the top rope. Plus you can reverse it so many ways, neckbreaker, top rope move, headlock. It’s so common but it can be utilized so many different ways

:man: Tyler :man: - You can do the same with so many other moves

:boy: Empire :boy: - Eh, I think it works better with the regular suplex

:man: Tyler :man: - May as well have the body slam or a monkey flip as a favourite move

:boy: Empire :boy: - Plus stalling suplex shows power

:man: Tyler :man: - There’s nothing really exciting about a Suplex

:boy: Empire :boy: - Like ducking Cesaro dude

:man: Tyler :man: - It’s so basic tho

:boy: Empire :boy: - Holding them up, doing squates. So? Just because a move is basic doesn’t mean it can’t be a great move. It’s the basic moves that make a match. You can’t just have intense move after intense move

:man: Tyler :man: - You like it better than the RKO?

:boy: Empire :boy: - You need the basics to have a match

:man: Tyler :man: - Better than the Rock Bottom

:boy: Empire :boy: - Definitely the rock bottom. And also I’m counting my favorite move and favorite finisher as different things

:man: Tyler :man: - Canadian Destroyer?

:boy: Empire :boy: - Yes

:man: Tyler :man: - You are a disgusting human being

:boy: Empire :boy: - Basically anyone can do a suplex and it’ll make sense

:man: Tyler :man: - DDT's are better than suplexes

:boy: Empire :boy: - Canadian destroyer can be done so poorly and look terrible

:man: Tyler :man: - You can spike em

:boy: Empire :boy: - And that’s it

:man: Tyler :man: - Nuh uh

:boy: Empire :boy: - Of the middle rope. Apron

:man: Tyler :man: - Tornado 720° rotation Reverse

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Nice choices! Honestly the superplex is one of my favorites, but my all time favorite is the 619.

:boy: Empire :boy: - Those are variations. Not just a basic ddt.

:man: Tyler :man: - At least the superplex is exciting

:boy: Empire :boy: - It’s a suplex

:man: Tyler :man: - Not just a normal Suplex

:boy: Empire :boy: - Off the top rope

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Well it's a normal suplex off the top

:man: Tyler :man: - Which is exciting

:boy: Empire :boy: - See. Basic moves can be exiting

:man: Tyler :man: - But a normal snap Suplex?

:boy: Empire :boy: - Yes. When done right they look beautiful

:man: Tyler :man: - Back in like 2000 yes

:boy: Empire :boy: - Not saying it ends a match

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Yes, but I think Empire means the suplex & all variations

:man: Tyler :man: - I not saying it's a bad move

:boy: Empire :boy: - Mostly yeah

:man: Tyler :man: - But it's your favourite?

:boy: Empire :boy: - But I had to chose one. Yes. Basics make greatness

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - There's some very cool variations

:man: Tyler :man: - Bray, if you don't put this in the podcast, I'll be very sour

:boy: Empire :boy: - LMAOOO

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - This whole discussion?

:man: Tyler :man: - Yes. Including this part

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - :joy: well alright den. Next question, what inspired you to this app, and what are your thoughts on Wrestling Amino?

Bray Mysterio Podcast #71-Hey guys! It's Bray Mysterio Fiend and this is the seventy-first Bray Mysterio Podcast! Hopefully y

:boy: Empire :boy: - What'd u expect from us Bray, we've known eachother for 4 years :joy:

:man: Tyler :man: - Yes, why did you Amino, Empire?

:boy: Empire :boy: - Heh. I ed it twice

:man: Tyler :man: - Don’t botch my name

:boy: Empire :boy: - Both times because Quote Tyler Nevermore told me about it

:man: Tyler :man: - YOU FUCK I SAID CALL ME TYLER fucking monkey

:boy: Empire :boy: - I wasn’t really into it the first time. I asked and u said full name. Oof. I know see the other message smh my head

:man: Tyler :man: - That’s what the full name is you idiot. Just say Tyler cause I’m Tyler. Finish the question

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - I can feel the tension

:boy: Empire :boy: - But yeah, I deleted it but Tyler told me about your chat and podcast. I was really into the idea of both of them, esp after hearing the one he was on before. I reed to the chat and hopefully be on the podcast with my boy Tyler...which looks like it’s happening rn

:man: Tyler :man: - This is going to be my third time answering this question but aight. I ed it cause my girlfriend at the time told me about it and I was “oh seems interesting” found the wrestling amino and had a hard time understanding it. I still had iFunny at the time and was so used to it so I deleted Amino a few times. But I got it again and got used to it. Got banned like 4 times. And now I can't make anymore s so this is my last

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Well I never knew that part

:man: Tyler :man: - Which part?

:boy: Empire :boy: - Ha you got banned. What a loser

:man: Tyler :man: - Well... I went on the lgbt aminos and started a cult of thumb people and needless to say, people were not very happy. Especially when I got 100+ people involved in the Cult

:boy: Empire :boy: - okay. I rescind my statement. That is a very chad thing to do :joy:

:man: Tyler :man: - Heh

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - I didn’t know you were banned so many times that you're on your last lol. That's very interesting! I hope you've enjoyed this EmpireBoy. Next question, have you been to a live wrestling event? If so, which ones? If not, do you plan to?

Bray Mysterio Podcast #71-Hey guys! It's Bray Mysterio Fiend and this is the seventy-first Bray Mysterio Podcast! Hopefully y

:boy: Empire :boy: - I’ve actually been to a few...Imma write about each, not much just a little.

The first show I went to was a WWE live show when I was in 9th grade. It was in the Prudential center in Newark, NJ. I went decked out in Ambrose merch, hoping to see him beat Seth. We were lucky because we had seats far away, staff asked if we wanted to move..we ended up not even 10 rows away from the front. I attended 3 smack downs which were pretty decent, one before it became live and two after. The last wwe show I attended was Summerslam which was an absolute blast and I’m so happy I got to see it. Outside of wwe I’ve been to CZW, ROH and House of Glory. CZW was a badass show, I actually got a piece of wood with a nail in it...it came out of the ring and my mom stepped on it, luckily it didn’t go through her foot but I got to keep it lol

:man: Tyler :man: - I’ve been to 4 wrestling events as a fan. I went to a CNWA event in 2012 then a year later in Calgary Alberta, I went to the Raw that held Bret Hart’s Appreciation Night. I’ve also been to 2 live shows in the past few years. But I also wrestle professionally too. I’m actually on my way back from one now as we speak

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - Wow! Haha, that's really awesome guys! Wish I got to keep a nail board from a CZW event. Last question, what is your favorite wrestling moment of all time, and why?

:man: Tyler :man: - This one is kinda hard tbh. I’m not sure which moment is my all time favourite but one that I loved so much was when Zack Ryder/Matt Cardona won the IC title at WrestleMania 32. It just shows how unpredictable wrestling can be. Or when Slater beat Rollins in non title match

:boy: Empire :boy: - I was going to go for a different moment. But Tyler just reminded me how much I marked out when Zack Ryder won the ic title. Like I don’t think I’ve ever actually had a reaction like I did besides at a live event. And my reaction was still bigger

:man: Tyler :man: - OH Macho Man wins the WWF title. Boom. Best moment ever. Everyone and everything was so emotional. I'm sending a oic

:boy: Empire :boy: - The fact that it was so unexpected, but he deserved it so much. Zack worked his ass off for wwe, overcame so much and always got the short end of the stick. And it finally happened, he got the moment he deserved. I was really hoping he was going to have an angle where he took the momentum to be a real champ. Plus the fans at the show. Everyone was so happy. Don't think a single person didn't woo woo woo with Zack

Bray Mysterio Podcast #71-Hey guys! It's Bray Mysterio Fiend and this is the seventy-first Bray Mysterio Podcast! Hopefully y

:man: Tyler :man: - LOOK AT THE EMOTION

:boy: Empire :boy: - Hold up

:man: Tyler :man: - What

Bray Mysterio Podcast #71-Hey guys! It's Bray Mysterio Fiend and this is the seventy-first Bray Mysterio Podcast! Hopefully y

:boy: Empire :boy: - Look at that emotion

:man: Tyler :man: - There ya go. Macho and Miss Elizabeth is still superior

:boy: Empire :boy: - I can see that

:man: Tyler :man: - Ye

:boy: Empire :boy: - It still pisses me off how quickly they got rid of all the momentum Zack had. He beat Sheamus, he won the belt. And then he lost. Both matches for it.

:man: Tyler :man: - Beat sheamus?

:boy: Empire :boy: - Yeah. Before mania. He beat sheamus

:man: Tyler :man: - Huh

:boy: Empire :boy: - I think it was clean too

:man: Tyler :man: - I don’t recall but that’s awesoem

:boy: Empire :boy: - Imma look it up

:man: Tyler :man: - My phones almost dead so give me like 10 minutes

:boy: Empire :boy: - https://youtu.be/XV2V8RcxNaw Found it

------------------------------------------------------------------------

:sheep: Bray Mysterio :sheep: - That's an amazing moment! Thank you both for ing, I hope you've had a good time! If you have any questions for me or any final remarks, now is the time. See ya!

:boy: Empire :boy: - Thank you so much for having me man. It was definitely a blast! Glad I was finally able to get on the podcast with Tyler, even though he’s wrong

:man: Tyler :man: - Thank you for having me on for a third time Bray!
