Doctor Doom sat rubbing his hands together in anticipation.
The lights flickered and shone bright as the large machine in the center of the room let out it's low, mechanical whirs and hums.
"Today is the day I'll finally defeat the Fantastic Four, once and for all!!!"
He cackled, the lights reflecting off of his silver armor and casting eerie shapes on the floor. He finally had made his ultimate creation: the ultra-sonic portal box! With this machine he could achieve everything he had ever wanted in life! He could travel time and space at will, travel to different universes and even control paralel dimensions just with the press of a button!
All he had to do was press it....one press, and he could rule the entire universe......forever!

Harleen Quinzel laughed as she drove her motorcycle down the busy intersection. She loved to drive - it was one of her favorite times, next to stealing, roller skating and taking care of her beloved exotic pets!
"Too bad the apartment manager kicked me out!" She thought to herself, the memory of the incident still playing in her mind. "No pets allowed.....who even follows those kinda rules? Aren't they just there for breaking?"
She swerved as yet another car almost colided with her front wheel. "Yahta, yahta, I know I'm on the wrong side of the road, ya dimwit, I just like it more this way! All these stupid rules, can't anyone have any fun?!"
HONK!! HONNNNK!!
Harley's eyes opened wide as the incoming semi-truck approached, ramming it's front end bumper straight into her bike's front wheel. As she flew through the air, she let out a pitiful scream....before noticing her hands where on fire!!

The machine let out a loud groan as the lights began to flash faster and faster....this was it! If he could prove that another being from another universe could be taken into his, he could do it vis versa! As the pale white hand began to appear from within the blindingly white lights, he began to laugh. It was working!
The hand grew until a shape began to mold itself into an arm....then a leg.....then another leg.....soon, all that was left to come out of the face! Who would be his first test subject? His eyes lit up with the feeling of pure victory
The tall, white skinned clown girl looked up, a huge, goofy smile on her face. "Whoofta! Well phoney balony! Where am I?!?" Turning to look at the Doctor, she jumped, before striking a pose and loudly exclaiming,
"Hiya! Name's Harley Quinn! What's yours?"

While I originally created this fanfic as an entry into the weekend crossover challenge, I'm actually genuinely surprised at some of the ideas I've formulated, and I'm considering turning it into a continuous story!
