Personality/Characteristics

General Personality:

Calandra is quite the blunt but ive person. Wow she either gets straight to the point to her objective but in a way that is seen as polite or she dances around the issue but answers the person who prays to her’s prayers anyways. Unlike some other gods,she tends to pity mortals and is a little more leniant to help,despite her own father telling her to think logically.

Temper:

She can get angry,for example if she answers a prayer to help with someone’s freedom and they end up trapped again,she would be a little mad,but she is pretty relaxed most of the time

Strengths:

Her strengths is that she is easy to pray to and to communicate with as she usually likes to blend in with mortals to witness their lives so she is very empathetic to normal people so she has rarely any arrogance despite her divine nature

Flaws:

Sometimes she can be a little too ive and answer every single prayer without thinking of a reason why she should grant freedom,which makes her come off as an irresponsible goddess sometimes when in reality,she forgets reasons to giveZ

Fears:

She tends to have a strange fear of flying..she just associates with an incident from her childhood (explained later in the wiki so please keep reading!)

Spying on mortals in disguise,answering her prayers,her domain of freedom,music,nature ,talking with wine

People who bully weaker people,being trapped,Calypso,anchovies,not being heard

Random Facts:

She likes to walk around the forest of her dad’s domain,Arcadia sometimes to relax as her mother is a dryad,an oak tree nymph. Also she lets children put jewellery in her pointed ears sometimes as she sees it as being appreciated for them expressing their creative freedom.

Powers/Explanation

As the Goddess of Freedom,her powers are pretty simple. She can grant freedom to anybody who prays to her as long as they explain why. She can pretty much get anybody free out of any situation,unless Zeus orders her not to do it then she might hesitate. She can also hear extremely well due to her ears and has a connection to nature due to her being half dryad and her father being a satyr.

Weakness:

Her powers and domain of freedom isn’t exactly the most useful in combat so if she was to get attacked,she would only know the basics of a spear or a bow and arrows,not enough to fill on take somebody down so she’s a bit vulnerable when it comes to defence.

Any tools or tricks?:

Nor exactly a trick but if she sees someone dangerous..despite being immortal and unable to die,she tends to run away if she sees someone,mortal or not,that is stronger than herself.

Relationships

Mother:

Her mother is a dryad,an oak tree nymph named Melanta. Her mother is described by her fellow dryads as a beautiful nymph who likes to dance to the music Pan plays wherever she goes but others who aren’t the dryads describe her as hideous for having a bad habit of hiding so they assume she is hideous. She loves Calandra very much and helped raise her into the goddess she is today..even if Melanta still babies her sometimes.

Father:

I headcanon her father is Pan. He isn’t married to her mother but he still loves Calandra as she doesn’t judge him for the fact he’s a satyr. He tries to teach her how to play panpipes and dance but she struggles due to her carefree nature so she ends up falling over. He treasures her and is overall not that horrible of a father to her,just a little insecure as his abilities as he wants her to think about granting others freedom so casually.

Grandpa:

Hermes. Colandra loves her grandpa a lot and thinks he is fun,despite the whole flying incident when she was a child. Everytime she sees him visit Arcadia,she gets excited and helps him find her father Pan. He also tries to teach her how to steal and run fast. He also tells her gossip of all the things he sees on Olympus and around everywhere and she listens every time. Overall,she ires her grandpa Hermes.

Fun Facts!:

Calandra growing up was evenly raised by both her parents and learned her connection to nature soon. The one incident in her childhood which is funny is when as a child she was kidnapped by other satyrs and Pan had to give them a stern talking to. Once they realised who she was,they apologised. Also her fear of flying stems from when she was a child and Hermes in his winged sandals,picked her up and flew around holding her to play and she kept screaming in fear,thinking her grandpa was trying to harm her.

She has no pets but she really wants a bird,she thinks they’re really adorable
