Candy (Apple)

Hello all. I hope you enjoy this written piece for #MyHerotober2023, featuring *drum roll noises!* TWO CUTE BEANS! Eri and Tamaki (of the BIG 3) *party blowers* wooo hooo!. And special guests Mirio and Nejire (ALSO of the BIG 3).

Let's Begin The Story

Eri was so happy to be going with big brother tamaki to go shopping. She was bouncing on her toes, waiting for him, inside one of the empty classrooms, her pigtails mimicking her movements. Big sister tsu had done her hair for today and used the red polka dot ribbons that she had gotten for her 7th birthday. "Eri, thanks for waiting" tamaki called as he came into the room with nejire and mirio standing just outside the door.

Eri's eyes lit up when she saw tamaki going over to him with a smile "big brother!". Nejire aww'ed from the doorway and mirio let out a little laugh "you look cute today eri" mirio complimented. Nejire nodded in agreement "yeah eri-chan, ready to have fun with tamaki" she said, smiling. Eri nodded happily, her hair bobbing with the motions looking up at tamaki with big eyes. Tamaki blushed from the praise from eri with a sheepish smile, and his hand moved to rub the back of his neck.

Eri took tamaki's hand in her small one as the still blushing male led them out and through the halls to outside. Nejire and mirio broke off, saying their goodbyes to head home. "Bye-bye big sister nejire, bye-bye brother brother mirio!" eri yelled softly, waving her hand. Tamaki smiled, putting his free hand up in a small wave to his two best friends.

(honestly, how eri and tamaki became fast friends was very cute)

[6 Months Ago]

Tamaki's P.O.V.

It happened at a surprise cooking party for eri, mirio had suggested it to help her get used to normal everyday things. And what better way than to cook yummy food (candy apples included) since mirio had heard eri talking non-stop about the super yummy candy apple midoriya had given her at the end of the school festival. Nejire was obviously on board, and she made herself in charge of making decorations since, in her words, "It had to be cute and eri's favorite color!, mirio do you know eri's favorite color!" she had exclaimed excitedly pointing at the blonde male. Mirio looked surprised at nejire's excitedness though being friends with the male, I knew mirio was faking and just as excited, practically shaking. "Yep! Eri-chan likes the colors orange and pink" mirio happily answered "we color a lot together!" he proudly added.

Nejire nodded, already thinking of decorations in those colors looking focused. She pointed to me, making me jump a little "what nejire?" I asked. I could tell I was getting nervous as I started to pick at my nails. Nejire saw this and came closer to me, grasping my hands gently but firmly "hey calm down, tamaki." she smiled warmly. "What's on your mind?". I looked in her eyes seeing the warmth then looked away "just...you won't need me there...I'll.....I'll just bring down the mood. I know I will" I said. "Not true! Totally not true, eri would love to have you there. I'm making you sweets captain" she decided, shaking their hands up and down. Mirio nodded in agreement with a big smile "eri will love you, have confidence, tamaki," he said, putting a hand on my shoulder. I nodded my head at them when I finally looked at them, seeing only love and kindness in their eyes.

I took a breath to cleanse my thoughts and nodded again. "ok, sweets, I can do that," I said, sounding much less nervous. So after school I went home to think of things to make 'carmel apples would be good, chocolate and white chocolate would be good too. Maybe some dipped oreo's, s'mores sound good too' he thought, writing his ideas down in his journal. Mirio had said the party was going to be 1 week from now on a Saturday, so he had to prepare a list of ingredients that he needed to buy. He could do his special candy apples. eri would probably really like that. Nejire said whenever he made them that they were super cute.

1 Week Later

The day of the party was apon them, class 1-A was there and Mr. Aizawa to celebrate along with Present Mic doing music with jiro. There were pink and orange decorations; streamers, balloons, A big banner that said 'Let's Get Cooking Eri' or as denki had put it

"Happy Cooking Day!" with a merry smile on his face. Eri had been brought by Mr. Aizawa having the instructions to keep her eyes closed. When she was told to open her eyes everyone softly yelled surprise because she was still sensitive to loud noise. Eri gasped and looked up at aizawa "everything is pink and orange!..." she said looking amazed "and there's a big sign!". Aizawa crouched to her level with a smile "there is eri, this party is for you," he said.

Mirio came up to them with an apron that had a sun on it "we'll get to cook yummy food! So let's have fun eri" he said smiling. Eri's eyes sparkled looking at mirio, she liked the blonde older teen "A party for me....and we can make yummy food" she mumbled to herself finding this surreal, she felt unsure if she should be happy buy seeing mirio smiling, aizawa and even midoriya smiling told her this was a good thing.

So the cooking got into full swing with eri in a cute pink and orange apron with flowers on it. Class 1-A all cooked things with eri except mineta after he had said something inappropriate about all the girls in aprons and being good housewives and making men happy. Tsuyu had smacked him hard with her tongue and sero used his tape to wrap him up, sticking him to one of the beams. Aizawa said mineta would get dinner after, if at all for that little statement, glaring at the tapped up boy.

[Third Person P.O.V.]

Throughout the evening eri learned to make all kinds of yummy food like pasta, seafood and meat dishes, veggie dishes. But the best was making candy apples with tamaki, they had cute marshmallow ears on them like bunnies and chocolate ganache eyes and nose. Tamaki smiled seeing eri so happy, he had thought this would be a waste but it wasn't when out of nowhere the little girl hugged him "Thank you tamaki-san!" she said her eyes practically shining. Tamaki carefully pat her back "your welcome eri...I'm glad your enjoying yourself" nervous but smiling "we can also do dipped oreo's". Eri's mouth shaped into a little 'O' in curiosity "Yes please!" she said nodding. Tamaki laughed a little "OK then let's get started".

Nejire and mirio were both at another cooking spot smiling to themselves. "I think tamaki just made a best friend," mirio said. Nejire nodded with a giggle. "Looks like it!" she agreed, dipping her apple in white chocolate and rolling it in sprinkles.

The party was a big success, eri was attached to tamaki for the rest of the evening and night making and eating yummy sweets. Aizawa was there taking photos at the badgering request of mic. He said it would be super cute, eri in her little apron being a little chef. 'Mic had been right, of course' aizawa thought.

[Present]

Eri walked with tamaki hand in hand "cooking party! cooking party!" she was skipping as they went to the store "there will be bunny apples, right big brother tamaki?" she looked up at the older teen. Tamaki smiled down at her. "Of course, eri, silly little bunny," he said teasingly. "Yay, can't wait," eri said happily. The thought of making the special 'Bunny' candy apples made her giggle. This time, she would make a 'Bunny' candy apple family.

Once eri and tamaki got all the ingredients for the cooking party the little girl was in her pink and opron next to tamaki, swirling an apple in red candy coating with a cute concentrated look on her face following tamaki's instructions, this was very important to her. After she swirled it in the coating, tamaki helped her put the marshmallow 'ears' on the apple (which was just one or two marshmallows skewed with toothpicks and placed into the apple on the top at angles). Then the 'eyes' and 'nose' were made with little dots of chocolate ganache. Though eri wanted to do a white 'nose' so white ganache was used instead. Eri took a big bite, savoring the sweet taste that hit her tongue.

It now became tradition to have a surprise cooking party for eri, seeing her eyes light up and have a big smile on her face with the shiny apple coating on the side of her mouth, made tamaki's heart swell with pride and happiness.

There were pictures up in eri's room in aizawa's house of her smiling while holding up her candy apple 'Bunny' and one for her taking a bite. There were several photos with tamaki in them, mirio and nejire. Under the photos were captions that said 'Big brother mirio, Big sister nejire and Big brother tamaki '. 'Eri's first homemade carmel apple' with eri holding up her first 'Bunny' candy apple smiling with tamaki next to her also smiling holding up his own 'Bunny' candy apple.
