helle is a slender, toned ectomorph with very lightly tanned ivory skin. she has a somewhat small torso with straight shoulders and a slight, womanly waist. her breasts are average-sized and nicely-shaped. her arms are not quite long, but are certainly not short. helle's legs are willowy and relatively long, with moderately thick thighs— despite this, her thighs still have a small gap inbetween them due to being underweight. her bottom is small but not flat. her feet are somewhat small. she always shaves.

this young woman's face is shaped similar to a rounded trangle— she possesses high cheekbones and a small, subtly pointed chin. her jawline is soft and curved but noticeable. helle has slightly downturned, almond-shaped eyes, giving her a soft appearance. they are dark hazel in hue. the eyes have thick eyelashes and are tend to be half-lidded. however, her eyes are revealed to be fairly large when her eyelid is completely raised. some dark bags lurk underneath her lower eyelid. a few, small freckles dot the bridge of her roman/aquiline nose. helle's mouth is small and upturned in the corners— her bottom lip is very slightly thicker than the upper. helle has hair a little above shoulder length— it is black with small curls at the ends. it is styled to be slightly longer in the front. she has parted curtain bangs that are quite choppy and wispy. her eyebrows are thick and straight.

as for attire, helle prefers simple but elegant garments, only rarely going overboard. for everyday attire, she wears a collared, long-sleeved button-up shirt with a long, dark green pleated skirt. in addition, she wears lace-up boots and a small black cardigan-like overcoat that drapes over her shoulders. as for nightclothes, helle sports a knee-length white nightgown with small frills around the collar and sleeves. when hard at work, executing heavy labor or studying documents, she ties her hair up in a tight bun. however, some strands refuse to stay down, wisps dangling in front of her eyes.

☆prologue☆

the liberytes were a family of nobles, composed of several military and political heroes. for the longest time, the line had dwelled inside of märieslov— they were extremely wealthy, having owned a godly-huge estate ed down through the generations. however, they also had a history of conflict with the theodoraides, another well-respected family. this line was well-known for their many successful businesses. they frequently competed with one another over money and resources.

in order to stop the constant arguments and struggle with the liberytes, the theodoraides offered elge, their finest maiden, to sokratis as a peace offering. the liberytes reluctantly accepted elge as sokratis' spouse and the two lines halted their conflicts for the time being.

after a few years of marriage, elge grew to adore her husband, ultimately falling head over heels in love with him.

however, sokratis did not feel mutual comion for the former, disregarding her deep embraces and ionate kisses. their marriage was a one-way relationship, and only sokratis was aware of that fact— elge was oblivious as always.

years ed, and elge eventually convinced sokratis to help her conceive a baby. in 824, abram george liberyte was born— elge was absolutely ecstatic over the birth of her son, constantly indulging him with candies, toys, and intricate garments. however, despite these efforts, abram was not a happy child— as he grew older, he began to pick up on the tension, the strain, in his parents' marriage. he would sometimes throw seemingly unexplained fits due to the intense stress in the liberyte estate. the air felt thick and suffocating at all times— elge was too generous, and sokratis too cold and indifferent.

even elge realized the emotional absence of her husband. desperate to be the link that held the theodoraides and liberytes together, she decided to conceive a second child with sokratis, much to his dismay.

☆birth—current times☆

helle was born on april 26th, 827. as an infant, elge was her sole caretaker— she made sure not to absolutely spoil her as she did with abram. however, she was nevertheless coddled, having been born into two ridiculously wealthy families. sokratis, all throughout her youth, was, as always, isolated and excluded, an outcast from the rest of the household. elge was the one who taught helle proper etiquette and mannerisms, as well as how to be a good young lady.

elge hired a private tutor to teach helle how to read and write, for she could not bear to send her precious daughter away for an education like she did with abram. helle was also very sheltered and naïve as a child, unaware of the real world. instead, she preferred to stay in her head, proving to have superior intellectual abilities than her peers. she was academically ahead of other children at her age, but elge would never come to talk to her about loss, grief, or criminals. to helle, everything was as happy and joyous as they were in the books. she never fully comprehended sokratis's behavior, never identifying it as abnormal or odd how he locked himself up in his chamber for days at a time.

growing up, helle did not have many friends— due to never being extremely playful or social, most other children avoided her. this was also due to elge hardly ever letting helle interact with the "mischievous imps" of lesser families. even if helle wanted to make friends, elge would never let her. instead, to fill her free time, helle would tend to the huge garden in her backyard or climb up a tree and read.

life was going fairly well for helle.

:grey_exclamation: warn :grey_exclamation: ing :grey_exclamation: when helle was at the age of eleven, she noticed that her father had holed himself up in his room for an unusually long time— it had been about a week without a breath of life coming from his small dwelling. something smelled disgusting upstairs— she assumed that his toilet may have become clogged after such a long time of non-stop use. walking upstairs, she intended to clean his room for him like a good daughter should. as she reached his doorknob and twisted it, she came to a horrifying discovery— the door was not even locked. that was an especially odd thing for sokratis to do. as the door creaked open, a gust, an odor of rotten meat billowed into her nose, climbing into her nostrils in the worst way imaginable. opening it a bit wider out of plain curiosity, her eyes absorbed the sight of sokratis' decomposing body hanging from the ceiling. helle, unaware of the concept of death, called elge inside from the back porch, nonchalantly telling her that he was "struck by a terrible illness and was trying to get it out through his mouth." one step inside the room, elge emitted a blood-curdling scream, shoving her innocent child out of the room. :grey_exclamation: warn :grey_exclamation: ing :grey_exclamation:

sokratis was buried immediately— there wasnt a proper funeral. all the while, helle was confused as to what the burial stood for. she simply watched with skeptical, childish eyes as elge heaved his grotesque corpse into a pit surrounded by an exquisite bed of flowers. elge stared at her daughter with hateful, condescending eyes.

"you did this."

as the days turned into months, helle noticed her mother's physical health deteriorating— the generous, gentle woman helle knew crumbled like a pastry before her eyes. frantic, panicked, and confused, helle fetched abram from his boarding school, writing to him that an emergency was taking place. when he arrived, helle updated him on the recent events— deeply disturbed, abram told her about death, illness, and the like. only then did helle grasp the graveness of their situation.

eventually, elge could not and would not take care of her children anymore. they had to schedule their own tutoring schedules and cook their own food. elge was so heartbroken over the loss of the love of her life— she could hardly function as a human being, let alone a mother. the roles of mother and child got distorted and switched about. years ed, and she could not even step out of bed on some days.

year after year ed, and the two siblings adopted a twisted, odious sense of responsibility over one another. they were children and simply could not comprehend what was or wasnt their duty. this eventually evolved into distorted senses of responsibility later on in life. they adopted the idea that children should take care of their parents, for it was all they really knew. nobody else was there to teach them otherwise.

when abram started puberty, he began getting very moody, and neither of them knew what was occuring. elge would never tell them. helle felt very upset whenever he would lash out. at 13 years of age, she also started experiencing change in her body that nobody could or would explain. she just miserably waited for the ordeal to all be over. neither elge nor abram would try to sympathize with her, abandoning her in her younger adolescent years.

when she was 15, helle dropped out of tutoring so she could talk care of her mother full-time— she already had the necessary education to proceed in life. however, around this point in time, she started developing serious mental and emotional problems. they may have been undiagnosed, but she knew that it probably was not normal to be so morose at this age— even more than the typical teenager. the memories and the guilt of sokratis' death crushed her— why hadnt she been more mature, more sensitive then ? helle began closing off her emotions, dismissing them like pesky flies. it was also at this time when she developed an unhealthy alcohol addiction, frequently breaking into elge's alcohol and chugging down half a bottle of vodka a day. abram was disgusted by this, sometimes detaching from their relationship to prove it.

another year ed, and helle soon felt disgusted by herself as well. she needed to do something in order to contribute to my liberyte line— she would never be able to accomplish anything if she stayed at home tending to elge. to the military's pleasure, helle applied to the marleyan military. not even a day after did they respond with such eagerness. packing her bags in under a few days, helle left her mother and brother with only a very brief goodbye. she felt she finally had a purpose in life— she was going to take advantage of her circumstances.

once helle had ed the military, she quickly rised through the ranks. she was superior in many ways compared to her fellow soldiers— her intelligence, logic, and strategizing skills overpowered her peers. however, one of her most significant setbacks was her inability to conform to plans. she acted on impulse, contrary to her initial strategies. this caused her superiors to doubt her at times, but she nevertheless gained respect fairly quickly. she often studied books on the history of marley, becoming very well-educated on her motherland. helle never revisited the liberyte estate after the age of 15.

after playing the role of a soldier, a general, and everything inbetween for 8 years, helle, now a fully-fledged adult, was promoted into the rank of a military commander like sokratis. however, oddly enough, after working so hard to achieve her lifelong dream, she still felt so hollow and purposeless. she eventually turned back to her only friend— her alcohol. it would ease the dullness, the loneliness, the emptiness of her state. helle always felt so weary, so worn.

abram, after so many years, decided to finally visit his sister. having never seen helle for an entire 8 years was very emotionally draining for him— he also decided that he was going to drag a hesitant elge with him. when abram quietly waited for helle in her office, he felt an unnerving amount of adrenaline wash over his nerves. he was right to feel this way, for when helle trudged into her room, she slapped him out of instinct.

after a much-needed period of time to catch up, the siblings finally stopped to look at each other. unrecognizable, the two of them were. elge stayed silent, refusing to speak to either of her children. it was typical, so helle and her mother only exchanged a few words before abram and elge left.

now, elge lives as a highly-respected military commander, dwelling inside of her office and occasionally a luxury hotel here or there. abram and elge visit her frequently, yet she still dives deeper into the darkness of herself. with the recent threat of eren jäger and eldia itself, helle has become very high-strung and fretful. she is always behind every marleyan plan, becoming very upset when they fail. she, although she could not care less about marley or eldia, frankly does not want to lose her own life.
