The DTA Fish and I made has finally come to an end, and its time to announce the lucky winners!

As every drawing came up, we scored it for a few categories. Obviously, timezone is one hell of a bitch so it took us FOREVER to cover each one.

Each and every entry was amazing in it's own way, so it was very hard for us to choose. But, we finally have our winners, with 5 amazing honorable mentions!

First, let's talk about the gems.

⚜ Kunzite is a fusion of two different gems with a very strong connection, which I like to think of as very good friends who find comfort always being together.

They were really fun to draw as we designed them. I wanted a gem that looked kinda awkward and odd, as one of their headcanons is that they're the most socially awkward gem you'll ever meet. They can't finish a sentence without fucking up and they hate smalltalk. I love them so much and so, I wish that their owner will give them the best home and will protect them at all costs. ⚜

:cupid: For Hibonite's personality, I thought.. gem warrior. She likes to brag about how many gems she bubbled during the war. She likes being in control, being the captain, being assertive and strict.

I really like how her design turned out. Her long big hair creates a strong and stable feeling around her, which the hammer adds on to. The brown boots that she’s wearing and the overalls make her look like a hard working gem and I think that fits her personality really well. I hope that her new owner will take good care of her. :cupid:

:star2: Tiger's Eye was really fun to design since her gem has a complex look to it, with all the different stripes. I borrowed some parts from a different Tigereye that I made as an adopt to get to a design I was happy with. Tiger's favorite thing is the night sky. She loves the moon and the darkness being lit up by the stars. Over all, I hope her new owner will love her as much as I do.^^ :star2:

🖤 Black Opal is a fusion of three, and unlike Kunzite, we do know who these gems are. A Black Star Sapphire, a Lapis Lazuli and a Clear Quartz. I like to think of this relationship as one between lovers. They fit nicely together and seems to have a good relationship, I wanted to show this through her design. There is some odd parts but overall the design is whole and nice. When I thought about her personality, she looked like the gem to be... Misunderstood. She looks apathetic most of the time when its really the opposite of that. When deg her, my favorite thing about her was the eyes. I loved how each eye shows a different expression, the top one being open and kind of surprised, the middle ones looking sad in a way, and the bottom one being the most apathetic one. I really hope her new owner will use her a lot, because it was hard giving her up in the first place. 🖤

Okay WOW.

First, I didn't think there would ever be so much effort put into any of these adopts! You made a whole backstory, multiple drawings of Tiger's Eye and an animation!! Even if she isn't exactly drawn as her design I think the bio completely overshadows it. Like damn. Girl you cray cray.

Kunzite by Sleepy Child

I really love the style Kunzite was drawn in! Its more detailed than my design and at the same time really close to it! You got all the spots at the right place and made their hair look not weird! Good job!

Hibonite by Corona

I adore this drawing. I think it's really nice to see some really good traditional art for a change. Also, I laughed at "they’re supposedly strict. So imagine this pose as a scene where she’s strictly saying goodbye to all the negativity from 2018."

I love the shading, and its really close to the design too.

Black Opal by Apatite

I absolutely love the pose and the good anatomy. You nailed the cotton candy look we were trying to give her. The ballerina pose gives her a more elegant personality to her which is wicked. All the small parts of the original design is there even if she's in another position, I like how you made her dress asymmetrical! It gives her an additional clue that she's a fusion. The colors are nice and correct and the bio is cool.
