Dear Love, I wish to be where you are, wherever you are. In the beat of another’s chest, as though it were my own.

I wish to embrace you, with all your curves and crevices, faults and flaws once more, for I knew you weren't perfect. No you were everything aside from it, but you were always special, dear love.

I wish to cry out and bawl when we stumbled across any silly, little inconvenience as we did.

I wish to flash those stupid little grins whenever you were near.

I wish to be a fool again, to be enraptured and enthralled, as you were here.

Dear Love, we lit our candles in the dark. Our flames brewed ionate souls dancing oblivious that they'll soon burnout with a blow.

I mourned your death, heartbreaks and sorrows. You left too soon, I wished for the impossible. Will you ever comeback?

My love, you were common but precious. Time had never seemed to run out, like an attempt to escape the inevitable even in skys’ hope to flip the hourglass. Oh, but looking at how sweet you were, even your shadow was enriched with joy.

I envy their naivity, their love is so unsophisticated yet ever so charming. But they’ll never learn to mourn their heartbreaks or get over their heartaches. All of them are just so eager to experience it . Am I at fault?

Explanation/intensions

This poem being inspired by "young love" from the proof album, my theme was circulated around the the theme of young love. I searched for various perspectives on the matter, as you can possibly tell everyone has something to say about it. My poem is about someone reminicing about their "young love" wishing to relive it."My love" is personifying love in general. Their young love and the act of loving at a young age. "I mourned your death, heartbreaks and sorrows", relates to how teenagers react after a relationship has ended. Isn't it normal to behave this way? You would think that but alot of adults, not most of them, believe that teens react too dramatically and blame common things like "horomones" and so on for their behaviour, now that maybe the case but adults must keep in mind that it's the teens first experience of heartbreak; rejection, relationship, turmoil, sorrow and stress and comes in all at once. So I'd believe adults/parents be a little more patient with their teens. "All of them are just so eager to experience it . Am I at fault?" The persona is blaming themself and wishes that they could've told someone the effects of young love to reverse the consequences. When a young heart is broken, they are prawn to protect themselves from anything that can shatter it once more.
