Hi, I’m Maxi/Alec. I go by he/him and I’m an 18 year old med student, paramedic, and firefighter from the US living in the UK. Outside of amino, I love doing anything outside: hiking, camping, the beach, running, pretty much anything like that! When I’m not home, you can find me riding my bike (motorcycle) with some of my friends, accidentally breaking myself, or working. I have absolutely zero sense of self preservation and a strong ion for helping others.

Before I moved to the UK, I spent an excessive amount of time learning languages, as such, I’m fluent in English, Hawaiian (I was born and raised on Hawai’i), German, French, Arabic, and Russian. If you don’t speak english or would prefer to speak in any of the above languages when reporting something to me or chatting in pm, go ahead. Please keep in mind that I’m extremely dyslexic and as such, I have a reading assistant built into my phone to help with it when needed. Due to that, I’m very prone to typos and misreading things. Please be patient with me.

Due to the nature of my job (paramedic and firefighter), it’s hard to give an exact schedule, add school on top of that and it’s even harder. I often work at least two 12 hour shifts a week and one 24 shift a week with the rest of the days being 8 hour days. I know that seems like a lot (I really need a vacation :sob: ), I’m on my phone a lot between calls so on average, I’ll reply within a few hours unless I’m asleep (sleep? What’s that?) or studying.

The best way to report a behavioural/chat issue is by flagging the message as “off-topic”. After flagging the message(s), feel free to message a staff member to inform us that you’ve done so. For posts that violate guidelines, feel free to use the Report Centre chat to ask one of us to come into PM’s or send the link with an explanation and we’ll take care of it. I can help with almost anything, however, I do tend to get uncomfortable with reports regarding paedophilia. If for whatever reason, I can’t handle a report, I’ll reach out to another staff member to help with it.
