Q: Why does my betta flare?

A: Your betta will flare whenever it feels threatened! When they flare they get bigger, which also makes them look stronger. Many betta owners place mirrors in betta tanks for 2 minutes to help with mental stimulation and strength. With this being said, flaring too often means the fish is stressed!
